A castle like no other in the north of Poland. Malbork, which is actually the rock of the Knights of the Order in the country of pagan Prussia. The largest brick fortress in Europe in the Middle Ages - mostly rebuilt today, but the Castles are worth it, especially this one.
If only because it became the representative and main seat of brave knights in the times of the old Crusades. While admiring this monstrous defensive fortress, I will tell you a bit about the history of the Order, not only about the Castle itself.
From the film we will learn about the beginnings of the Monks in the Holy Land itself. We will take a closer look at the specifics of the creation of such fortresses and see how they were based on inventions already known in antiquity. Perhaps this fact may come as a surprise, but the Order came from Germany and came into contact with the world of the Romans, also drawing on their greatest inventions and patterns.
I will also remind you a bit of the history of Poland, where, after the division of the districts, Polish rulers fought with the Crusaders for domination in this region, and their opponent was a very well-organized and modern feudal state worth admiring.
The castle is a work of Medieval Gothic art, which we can see inside, in the Grand Master's Palace. The wall paintings and frescoes have not survived to this day, but I will tell you something about them in the film. We will see there everything that is the quintessence of Western art of the late Middle Ages, which undoubtedly deserves attention.
At the end, we will find ourselves in the courtyard once again to look at the statues of the most important Order Masters who contributed to the growth of this organization and making it a power on a European scale.

I ta piękna wieża z widokiem.
Zamek to monstrum godne największych twierdz średniowiecza - za jakiś czas Zamek Wysoki, a potem Kwidzyń :)
No i jest on największy, średniowieczny zamek w Europie, super. Uwielbiam średniowiecze, nie aż tak mroczne :)
Tak, potrzeba wyobraźni mimo wszystko by wrócić do tamtych czasów :)
moja ulubiona epoka 👍👍👍
