I thought this was by far the hardest of the 5 advanced tests. It didn't help that the official practice test has virtually nothing to do with the actual material being tested on.
When creating the base flange at 14:20.. why not create a miter flange along the base flange with the extruded cut? You could sketch the whole profile and I think you can offset from an edge in the miter flange tool too. (I haven't taken the CSWP-SM yet)

Totally agree with you. Plus the sample does not come with all the questions.

Yes, miter flange works too. I was new to sheet metal design by then┑(￣Д ￣)┍
