    Great work as always Marc, i love the new design. Also you have to take into consideration that the ambient temp between the base number and the last pull is 4° difference.

      Thank you. I did intentionally add the conditions to the image because there are a few different corrections factors that people use and this will allow people to evaluate it whichever way they want to. The graph is using standard correction for the heat, pressure and humidity but the difference is large enough that even without any correction factors there are still gains so I feel quite confident that these are actually making better power.

    @WilhelmRaceWorks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice job Marc. One thought on the low end gain, I wonder if it's not partially due to adding length to the y-pipe between the header merge and the y-pipe merge... It's the same area where I gained power by going from the y-pipe to the x-pipe, so I just wonder. Of course, the longer runner length would also favor low end power, so that could be it as well.

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It certainly could be, thankfully i think the gains will still apply even if that is the case with another y-pipe since the headers are situated in a way that forces a longer y-pipe and also forces it to be much closer to equal lengh.

    • @WilhelmRaceWorks
      @WilhelmRaceWorks 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FrankensteinMotorworks Yeah, for sure, any y-pipe design with these is likely to be longer. It isn't too hard to make an equal length pipe with the old design though, the 180 into the merge is very close in length to the pipe that goes forward under the motor.

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WilhelmRaceWorks Yeah, i agree. this design also allows the y-pipe exit to be in the standard somewhat diagonal direction making it easier to fit larger pipes if desired. I can't wait to see what other people do with these.

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, these are for the 2GR-FE motor. Your 2013 Camry has a 2AR-FE motor. Also, even if you did have a V6 camry these were never intended to put the exhaust location at the factory location for any application. These were designed to be compact to hug the block for swap applications. That said, if you're willing to make a custom B pipe these should fit any configuration of the engine as long as it does not have an engine mounted hydraulic power steering pump.

    This setup isn’t for me. I’m sold on the 260hp 2ARFXE for my next project though. I’m thinking a fully street Scion tC and probably automatic.
    I love watching your work and progress though! I’m just getting into Toyota and doing what I can with my recently acquired Scion xB/1NZFE.
    You’ve actually got me pondering if the cam thing is possible on the 1NZFXE too.

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The "Double Atkinson" 2AR-FXE setup is pretty fantastic and i will be keeping that setup on my racecar for a while. Using it with an automatic might be a bit tricky though because the double intake cam setup won't work with the stock ecu and the stock ecu handles the transmission controls in that chassis.
      It's likely possible on the 1NZ, you should give it a go and report back
