I thought it was a pretty snappy vignette... but I was hoping they would close on a sub-segment all about SpaceX's iterative design philosophy, starting with their pioneering approach to rapidly printed 3D parts for design testing during Falcon 1 through 9 development and culminating with their production schedule of SN prototypes and, more impressively, their raptor production pace.

A similar thing happens with Elon. He is great at engineering but i suspect that he does not have a P.Eng designation and so with something as safety critical as a human-carrying spacecraft he cannot approve his own design.

SpaceX builds their rockets using a combination of advanced manufacturing techniques and innovative design. Their factories, known as "Falcon Facilities," utilize automated machines and robots to fabricate and assemble the rocket components. The company also employs 3D printing technology, known as "additive manufacturing," to produce complex parts with high precision and speed. The finished rockets undergo rigorous testing and quality control procedures before being launched into space. This approach has allowed SpaceX to significantly reduce the cost and time required to build and launch rockets, making space travel more accessible and affordable.
