I just received my kit November 2nd and these videos you have posted will help immensely. I have been watching them since you have started. Great information and it will take some of the anxiety out of how to tackle certain phases of the build. Thanks again and look forward to seeing more.
Thank you I’m glad you find them helpful, I’m planning on continuing to make them. Even though I’m not the fastest builder or most frequent poster ;) Congratulations on your kit.
FYI - Van’s aircraft sells a 1 oz sealant kit for less than $20 and looks to be plenty to do both tanks. You have to apply with a spatula rather than the gun, but it looks like a good way to go. 1 kit to put the rings on and a second to seal once in the wings. Less than $40 and a lot less waste.
I did it as a two-step process as per the instructions, which for me was easier. But I guess it can be done all at once if you’re experienced, fast and very well prepared, lol. This was my first ProSeal job and after reading all the horror stories I didn’t want to take any chances.
The initial fitting you can get from the outside, to tighten the rubber gasket. But after that I had to stick my hand in the tank to be able to tighten the further 90° fittings and coupler for the side gauge without twisting the rubber gasket.
I wonder how hard it will be to get the tanks into the wings with the rings in place. I was thinking the proseal was done after the tanks were in the wings.

I did my PRC job after I put tank in wing, then it makes a beautiful fillet of PRC from fuel cap to wing skin to keep fuel from running into the wing.

@@simdpk it looks like it turned out good!
I thought about this also, but it would complicate things if you found a leak during leak testing. I think that is why RANS does a two-step process.
Looked like a very neat proseal job.
Thank you.
I was laughing at you and Tony sticking your hands in there to tighten the fittings when you can use an allen wrench on inside of fitting!

The tanks go in the wing with the ring no problem. I just did the ProSeal as a two-step process following the instructions.
