hating them is so stupid, the music sounds good and the mv is great, nothing else matter, we got both good music and good aesthetics, that’s all we could ask from a kpop group. disliking the music is fine, hating on them because of the ai concept is just ridiculous though.

I know, it’s really dumb but is there even a right way to call them? “oh look, a group of 3D Generated Models” sounds kinda awkward, i can understand why people call them AI, even if it’s obviously wrong. We need a term.

I personally don't think its the death of real life kpop. its just one of the many groups out there, people will decide to stan if they like the concept and the music, but nothing will beat traditional groups because its the idols personalities that make fans attached and truly committed into a group. mave is not even the first AI group. just think of cyber singer Adam, the first Korean cyber singer created back in 1998 or groups of few years ago like superkind and etern!ty. or aespa's avatars. I personally don't think ai groups are a menace, they are just an alternative approach to music that people may like or not like.

Thing is this is not "AI" it's a virtual group like KDA and Vocaloid with REAL PEOPLE behind them.Each member has a real singer behind them and not to mention a whole team of amazing animators and artists working on it so i think it's cool that their work will get recognition without people focusing on how a person looks instead of talent and skill.
With that being said personally, i don't believe metaverse can replace real human groups but we might see a mixture of it in the future.Like we already see with Aespa.
It is NOT like vocaloid, vocaloid is an instrument where as mave are a kind of persona of real people

This is not an *AI* group its *VIRTUAL* group. Ai is like your siri, google assistance. There is people behind them who dance and sing, and fyi in Japanese audience they have virtual youtuber/vtuber, who sing, dance, and streaming game. They are real people and they using virtual model to move around :)

I don't get why people think the 2 things can't co-exist. Virtual groups are already in kpop. There's a bunny for crying out loud that just did a song with E-40.
This also is NOT A.I . but virtual/3d models which have been in kpop for some time. These are REAL people who are singing and dancing behind mave. No only did they need to find TRAINED dancers and singers if they aren't all the same people, but then they needed to design them, rig the models, perfect the animation, texture everything, design everything you see and things like that in itself take SO LONG. So much hard work goes into anykind of 3d Art and animation. and it's unfortunate that it's so unappreciated as art or is looked down on as not being as good because we are not watching real people.
I love this and I hope they release more safe environments for kpop idols to be able to strictly do what they love which is produce music without needing to be something they are not. being ridiculed for their body, their actions, being claimed or not even be able to live their own life without crazy fans feeling like they own them. Without their personal life under a microscope. Idols are purely here to entertain us with their music. It's what they are paid for. I hate how companies sell that u can date me fantasy to the public because it's spiraled out of control. People cutting themselves for idols, claiming their undying love for them. I hope more idols choose to go this virtual route so they can still live their lives as is.

Imo, I don't think it's the death of real life k-pop, at least I hope not. In a way this is a good thing, technology is advancing and the real idols get to hide their identities and avoid rumors, drama, etc. In fact, I would like to see more groups like MAVE in kpop while still maintaining an AI, Real life balance in the industry. However, I do think that this heavily limits the connection between idols and their fans which makes it more fun and is also an important aspect of kpop groups, so that would be a risk. I don't think real idols will be going anywhere anytime soon but Pandora and Wonderland are bops so either way, no matter if the idols are revealed or not, I am very excited to see where MAVE: is going and I think they're going to be the leaders of k-pop ai if they can't be leaders of 4th gen.

dont be one sided it just depends on the situation maybe the dancers and the singers behind this virtual kpop, want to showcase their talent but want a private life to avoid issues and etc. or they are afraid to show their faces to the public because they are not confident of themselves u already how harsh kpop industry is, one must be fit to their high beauty standards but they dont want to get a plastic surgery to change their faces to fit in so this is the way for them to pursue their passion and make their dreams happen without changing themselves to fit in the korean standard and without stressing about being in public and etc

Y'know what I hate about this? I knew that the song was gonna slap before I even watched the MV, because everything about this group is technical and fabricated through cgi. Obviously the idea of virtual idols replacing our believed human ones, is terrifying, and people would definitely oppose it and be against it. So, the only way they could maintain a large enough following would be through having good ass music. AND OF COURSE- THE SONG ENDS UP BEING BETTER THAN HALF OF THE SONGS THAT WERE RELEASED LAST YEAR- I'M NOT MAD? ARE YOU MAD? BECAUSE I'M NOT!
They saved such an amazing song up (and no doubt more songs like this), bided their time, for their virtual experiment groups, while hardworking ggs got DUMBASS SONGS like sneakers, We Fresh, DICE, Birthday?! WHILE SONGS LIKE THESE ARE BEING PRODUCED!!!! Don't get me wrong. Those songs are good too (like I love moonlight sunlight to bits, and sneakers is a cutie), but this music is on another level entirely. Reminds me of K/DAs MORE, it gives you the same feeling. Musical ascension. I mean the production, the reverb on the vocals, the siren call effect of the back up vocals, the use of snare to make it HIT, everything feels so much bigger and more masterful than typical music production. You can't just label it techno, or EDM, it's its own genre entirely.
People are gonna tell me, this is another company and that's why they don't get the same music privileges. I know MAVE's company is flipevil and, say, itzys is JYP and RedV is SM. That doesn't matter. Kpop songs are selected by the company from other sources, they're not always produced for that company specifically, they're offered or bought by them. So wherever Flipevil or METAVERSE Ent. got their hands on this beauty, there must be a whole vault of music like this somewhere in the world being offered to big companies because they know these are hits, and nobody has snatched them up for real idols yet.
I'm torn on it bc I personally like the song but I just feel weird supporting it when the girls could have been actual trainees, it's not like they're short on those in this Industry and there are so many girls who are qualified for debut. Idk I feel weird about it. Also I feel like watching them dance is weird. Like the animation is off somehow in my opinion

I honestly think this could be a double sword weapon, “good” because since they’re not humans they’re manipulable and it can be “easier” to manage since they will never get tired (and that sounds creepy af if you think about how the Kpop industry can be towards real human idols) but is bad if Kpop becomes this, is not only a little creepy but is sad and annoying how normal groups are made by passion and hard work while AI is just dress, make them dance, sing and put them in this scenario, the song is fire but I honestly hope they are the first and last AI group

These are real people singing. They aren't ai but 3d models. there are also real people who put in the effort and time and talent to both sing and dance. Only difference is, it's animated. Nothing about maves creation can just be broken down to " dress em up make em sing n dance" . That takes TALENT in itself. Hard work is going into EVERYTHING you see.

The music is very good, I like it. But I personally hate a completely AI group. I don't buy the excuse of the animators' work, which is indeed fantastic, but they hardly received due recognition for doing the real work, as well as the vocalists. It takes all the excence out of kpop.

what I find weird is ppl find this weird but love K/DA when they both are virtual groups. what exactly makes MAVE Ai? Their concept isn't Ai. They are just a virtual group. There is no story/lore like 'Detroit become human' where there are established Ai's wanting more. This concept doesn't make sense to me especially when we don't get to see the behind the scenes, or the dancers and vocals behind them. They want us to treat them like they are real idols...big no, we cannot connect to them the way we connected with K/DA. MAVE is expressionless and cold, THAT is what makes it weird. It's cool they wanna do virtual singers but this is not how you do it.
