  • Today I'm out in the field testing the H&N Field Target Trophy .25 cal 20.06 grain pellets and the Grizzly .25 cal 31 grain slugs at 64 and 50 yards. My goal is to get this gun ready to hunt a coyote with! Subscribe to see more.

number 1, you definitely need a better rest. Shooting from a sitting position and using a pod is not really very stable. Keep practicing from different positions to get more stable. The Airacuda in 25 is enough gun to put down a coyote!

Appreciate the advice! Y’all will know if I make it happen on a coyote! I’ll definitely be making a video of it!

id recommend getting a bog death grip or the bog field pod it will help get tighter groups and they are built real nice

I wanted one of these until I learned it's literally cheaper to shoot an actual .22LR gun because .25cal pellets are way overpriced. Not to mention, .22lr is way more power and more accurate as well. And there are quiet rounds if you want to be quiet too. Way less hassle too- infinite shots without pumping. Not bashing them at all, but that's how I see it. Now for people who aren't allowed to own a firearm, that's completely different lol. Great video btw...

Ur delusional!!! It is not cheaper to shoot a 22 lr. 8.99 gets a tin of 200 pellets in .25 cal and even cheaper for smaller calibers! Air guns are also way more accurate than a standard 22 lr platform . And way more stealthy than a firearm. It pays off to own a PCP air powered gun. And when times get rough or SHTF an air rifle beats out a firearm every time! As of 2022 and 2023 -24 airguns win the award in precision against firearms. Any questions you may have just ask. I have over 40 yrs in air power and firearms

@@BuckeyeBallistics lol, as a powder gun owner you are wrong, and bad at math. average .22lr is 0.08 per round. average .25cal pellet is 0.05 cents per round. . there are pros and cons to both. I got into air because the cost and I don't have to drive out to the farm.

Pellets=cheap. Airgun slugs= too much $. If I want to shoot slugs I shoot 22lr.

Mine can get all in one hole from 50 yards easily and inside an inch off hand with pretty much whatever I feed it… mine is also a .25 standard I use a hand pump I actually accidentally got 2 and so far so good but you can tell eventually the pumps are going to fail… the gun on the other hand is one of the more solid constructed air guns I’ve held and for $300 sheesh my neighbor has a $1300 FX and I promise I out shoot it with this I’m not getting 70 foot pounds but I’m putting more projectiles in tighter groups every time and I haven’t had anything I shot with it so far get away also I have a $50 3-9x40 non AO scope but I noticed my first 3 shots from a 3000 psi are a little slow but pretty much exactly same poi then by the 4th I’m hitting hard all the way to about 20-23 shots in my velocity falls off slightly but the gun will still be at around 2200 psi I can either shoot 3-5 more times with a little less power or just go top it off it just depends what I’m doing when I intend on hunting I’ll just fill to 2900 and walk around with a couple of magazines loaded if I’m plinking I’ll just shoot all the way down to 2000 I’ve already gotten more squirrels with this in a month than my whole life with break barrels it’s just not easy for me to either be very precise with a break barrel unless it’s like 20 yards or less or good enough to get the follow up shots off at a running target one at a time also I haven’t adjusted anything at all it came out of the box shooting fine and it pushes everything I have out hot enough to group good I have taken some 88 yard shots 100 and even 125 yards the other day which I measured myself and with GPS…. The GPS actually shorted me 😂 but overall it’s a great gun and it seems built to last mine shoots anything from 20 grain field target up to the 30 grain range really well and I have also had great success with the JTS pellets my scope is zeroed in for 25.5 grain dead centers just because they fell in the middle of the weight range I typically use and everything I shoot out of it including slugs has a close to same poi I don’t have to think too much when I load up a magazine I tried some FX hybrid slugs they were ok but not great enough to get more… some zan slugs they’re all in one hole and the H&N slug hp 2 in 28 and 30 grain I just stopped there because I’m not possibly going to get a better group… sheesh 🙄 sorry I wasn’t really trying to write a book about the damn thing… all I’ll say is as a regular ass guy with a job and expenses and things that doesn’t get anything in return for saying this if you’re thinking about buying one just do it similar price rifles I have handled feel very cheap and fragile compared to this one I was worried about the scope clearance and the magazine but I got away with medium profile rings🤷‍♂️ just buy it because I’m pretty sure there’s not any better built options in this price point or even I’d go so far as to say double the price

Nice shooting Sir. As an experienced air Gunnar, first thing I noticed is the rifle moves too much on your shooting pod. You need like a bog pod death grip style shooting tri pods and shoot off a rest for sighting in. The next thing I noticed is you're saying coyote size game with a 45 fpe rifle. You'll need pointed pellets like the H&N silver points or H&N Hornets pointed. You'll need a clean ear shot pin point shot through the ear with this rifle and keep it 30 yards an under. She's little under powered for longer distance coyote kills. JTS also makes a 30 cal with about 80 fpe! This rifle you got here is a squirrel 🐿️ rifle. Or you can go online and see how to open up milling the transfer port larger for more power. Also you need a regular mildot scope without a little circle in the way of the center of the reticle. Just my opinion with over 40 years air power under me. Try a DiscoveryOpt 30mm mil dot on Amazon. They're super good scope for the price line. Keep your shots on coyote close as you can not as far as you can. Right through the ear hole

I appreciate you taking the time to write that out. I do value your opinion but I don’t necessarily agree with everything. I don’t “need” mrad scope, I’ve seen coyotes taken with subsonic 22lr, I’ve seen them taken with a 25cal pcp just like mine so I know it’s possible. It’s not something I’m looking to always do but it’s just a challenge. I usually use 5.56 62gn OTM. Also I have a BOG But I forgot to bring it.

😅Bud, you need to get a tank or get one of them. Little compressors, it would be a lot faster And a lot easier and would be alot more Enjoyable with your rifle more. I know everybody starts out with a pump. But that's really not the best way to go

all three videos youve made on this rifle and all the comments youve left tell me you know very little about generally everything, but you talk A LOT. without actualy proving you know anything, you SHOULD be able to put it on a video if youre this knowledgeable and good at shooting. that shooting portion without ANY accuracy is horrendous. that tells anyone who cares about humanely taking a life you dont know shit. go ahead and keep flinging rocks in a general direction though. forget shot placement. that doesnt matter. lol.

I never claimed to know much about PCP air rifles. I just got into them recently. Everybody is new at something they start at one point. A lot of old timers have given me good tips and advice while you just sit there and talk horrible about me. It doesn’t bother me at all cuz I do this for fun. I’ve been hunting coyotes with an AR15 and using max 3x zoom. This is literally the first time I’ve used a scope with a magnification over 6x. Horrible tripod, overall unfamiliarity.. so all I learned from your comment is that you are rude and have no constructive criticism to give that id be happy to hear if it was given.
