Stray Kids, my favorite group, Stay is our fan name. They are a group under JYP. Bang Chan (the leader) actually picked the members (something almost unheard of in Kpop) and then they had a reality show to see if they would get to debut. Woojin left for personal reasons in 2019, he's doing solo stuff now. SKZ writes and produces pretty much their entire discography. 3racha (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) are the producing unit but the others have all taken turns helping to write as well. They all can rap and sing which shocks a lot of people especially when you hear Changbin or Felix sing or Seungmin rap (which throws EVERYONE for a loop cause he's friggin fast when he wants to be). They have a very varied discography when it comes to genres. They do everything from party music, dance, edm, 90's R&B, rock influence, jazz influences, lots of experimental music as well. If you get a chance try to check out their lyrics because they are often dealing with deep emotions and experiences (other than their party and shout out to the hater songs lol) and are known to have a lot of double meanings when it comes to their lyrics. They are also pretty well known for being really genuine, at least from as much as we can see. Bang Chan has a weekly vlive and the others often have vlives as well. They do a LOT of reality style content on their youtube pages. You'll notice that while some of them have pretty intense on stage personas, they are also adorable offstage. They're known for their experimental hype music but they have a very diverse discography to please all audiences. I highly recommend checking out Gods Menu, Easy, Venom, and Victory Song. That's Han, 4th-gen ace and one of the best, fastest, and most flexible/varied rappers in the industry -- and one of the three producers (as in, he's one of the three main producers in the group, including for this song). You can skip the "no homo" and be better off all around. They _are_ pretty; that's considered part of their job. Noticing it just means you have eyes and can appreciate the effort that goes into their looks. (More than half the fandom is queer in some way, so while we won't judge anyone for appreciating the appearance of others of any gender, a not insignificant number _are_ likely to feel some level of discomfort if someone feels the need to preface it with a disclaimer.) You're doing a good job of grasping the meaning of the song. 😀 Yes, the guy who sings that low "Maniac" is part of the group. He's Felix, one of the two Australian members. That's his real voice (it's also him layered into the second chorus, when another member -- Hyunjin [red hair] -- starts things), and SKZ uses his low voice as punctuation quite frequently. He's one of the primary rappers and their low-note king, but he also has a lovely mid and upper register.

Felix is the one with the deep voice. It's his real voice. But believe it or not, Felix can also sing two octaves above his deep bass. He's actually got a beautiful singing voice for ballads (and he sings in a nice falsetto, too), but it has been underutilized lately because the focus has been on his deeper notes.

I am new to your channel and loved your reaction to stray kids. I have been a stay fan for stray kids for 3 1/2 years now. They are no joke all aces and can do it all. They are self produced they write, compose, arrange, and produce 99.9% of their own music. Actually Stray Kids members was hand picked by the leader (blue hair guy) Bang Chan or Christopher before they went on the reality elimination show called stray kids. That has never been done before in the industry then or since. They all managed to prove they had what it takes to debut in 2018. Bang Chan is from Australia and the oldest member. Felix (deep voice) was born in Australia as well and yes that is Felix's voice but he can also talk and sing in higher pitch tones and notes. He has an amazing vocal duality range. All the boys can rap, dance and have amazing vocal despite their main roles in the group. Love for you to react to Venom m/v, Freeze m/v and Thunderous m/v also their Japanese m/v Circus released this year is such a banger too. This will get you caught up on the recent releases but you also need to react to Gods Menu m/v and Back Door which are their iconic m/vs and a must see. I've been listening to k-pop since the Oddinary album came out around march. The amount of comfort and joy I have from this band is insane. They are just so genuine, down-to-earth, and humble. They also are insanely funny. Also if you think 8 is a lot, NCT and Seventeen are a whole other deal. NCT with 23 members but they have a whole different thing going on and Seventeen with 13 members. Seventeen also has three leaders.
Felix has the deep voice, the cute little blond boy (I'm old so they're all boys to me). Yes, that's his voice, though he can go squeaky high or very low. His range is great. Stray Kids is the group formed from the Stray Kids reality show. Bang Chan, the blue-haired guy, is the leader and he handpicked all the members. JYP is their entertainment company... their boss, their managers, etc. (like Capitol Records, for example). Felix and Bang Chan were raised in Australia. Most of them speak English very well.
A little correction about the show. What that line meant was the show they were on was called "Stray Kids." JYP Entertainment is just the company that they're under that is in charge of managing them. Basically, unlike other Kpop reality shows where judges pick from a large group of contestants to form a group, in this show, the group was already together, but had to complete challenges in order to debut. They did complete them and made their official debut on March 25th, 2018!
I don't see anyone in the comments explaining the subunits of Stray Kids much more than mentioning their names, so here goes. Buckle up, it's gonna be a long one. You already know all 8 members can pretty much do everything: sing, rap, dance, write lyrics and produce. What's unique about Stray Kids is that they were given a lot of creative freedom, since Bangchan (the group leader) managed to earn J.Y. Park's trust from the get-go by choosing his own members and producing the music, as well as encouraging other members write the lyrics, which you can see on the Survival Show. But before Stray Kids even debuted, 3RACHA was the group who started EVERYTHING. Let me explain: *3RACHA* is the producing unit of Stray Kids. Members of 3RACHA are Stray Kids' rappers: CB97 (Bangchan, 25yo), SPEARB (Changbin, 23yo) and J. ONE (Han, 22yo). They have been a group since 2016 and as such they have written and produced many songs and performed underground shows before they even debuted with other members as Stray Kids in 2018. All 3RACHA members are recognized by Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) as they have been on the list of *100 most copyrighted songs written by male idols* for years now. This list gets renewed every year and as of September 2022, Bangchan is #10, Changbin is #17 and Han is #20 out of 100 male idols, with each one of them having 100+ songs copyrighted to their name. Bangchan is the youngest idol in top 10. 3RACHA write most of the lyrics and produce all 3RACHA and Stray Kids music. Their discography is huge as they already have a few full albums, and you can look it up, but here are some song recommendations: *Runner's High, Hoodie Season, WOW, Matryoshka, HeyDay.* *VOCALRACHA* is the singing unit and the members are Seungmin (22yo) and I.N. (Jeongin, 21yo). Woojin was also a part of this unit before he left and since Han (one of the rappers) took over all of his singing parts, he's also often associated with this unit, because he can hit the highest notes, which is very unusual for rappers. Both Seungmin and I.N. still take singing lessons. They work hard on perfecting their voices and you can hear how much their voices changed over time. Seungmin is a huge Day6 fan, like homeboy is whipped for this group, he auditioned for JYPE because of them. And I.N. looooovees Korean ethnic music, like the type of songs old Korean people listen to, and it's reflected a lot in his style of singing. Both of them wrote a few songs, too. Song recommendations: *My Universe, Gone Away, Zombie, Ghost, Congratulations.* *DANCERACHA* is the dance unit. Members are Lee Know (24yo), Felix (22yo) and Hyunjin (22yo). They come up with choreographies WITH the help of JYPE dance teachers, but Lee Know is the one who then teaches other members. Before he debuted with Stray Kids, he was a backup dancer for BTS and is good friends with Jimin. Lee Know's dance is fluid (think body rolls) and he's very good with freestyle dance. Hyunjin has amazing control over his body, from his fingers down to his feet, it's mezmerizing to watch. Felix is a black belt at taekwondo, so he's very flexible, also he's quite small, therefore he is given all the acrobatic dance parts. Both Lee Know and Hyunjin did dance side projects. Visual dance recommendations: *Dawn and Finesse (choreo by Lee Know), Motley Crew, Criminal, Play With Fire and When The Party's Over (choreo by Hyunjin).* They also wrote some songs: *Drive, Surfin', Ice Americano, Little Star, Ice cream, Cause I Like You, Red Lights.* Hope this helps! Welcome to the family! This group has such a diverse discography and as a self-producing group they have a lot of control over their style and sound. They really came into their own in 2020 with the album GO Live and it's title track God's Menu. I honestly love all of their music and never get tired of listening to them as they incorporate so many genres in their music (probably 40+ at this point). They have also been described as having their own unique "mala taste genre" as there's no one quite like them. Listening to all the title tracks of the albums is a good place to start but there can be so much diversity in just 1 album you really don't want to skip any, or at least I don't. The main writers/producers of the group are Bang Chan the leader (blue hair), Changbin (rapper with green streaks in hair) and Han (train with funny hat and high note at 4:43). They form the subunit 3racha and have rap songs on youtube from before they debuted with Stray Kids (also recommend checking those out if you get the chance). There area also non-album tracks they've created and songs from other groups that they've covered and uploaded called SKZ-records. Their first music video was actually a test from their company CEO to see if they were ready for debut and was uploaded on YT on Oct 6th, 2017 (America), five and a half months before the group's debut on March 25th, 2018. The song was co-written and co-produced by 3racha and the choreo was created by their very own Lee Know(purple hair and the one drilling at the end of the vid), who is a professional dancer and was also a backup dancer for BTS before joining the company. The MV is at almost 100 million views and is about their struggles getting through everything in order to debut. The goal Stay's set for ourselves is to reach that 100mil milestone by it's anniversary which is also when the new album, Maxident, comes out (Midnight Oct 7th KST, or Oct 6th in America). There were 9 members initially but the 9th left the group in 2019, the older music videos can be confusing if you didn't know that before watching and are still trying to learn the members names and faces.
Please do more Stray Kids! They are the best in my opinion. Pretty much all their songs are bangers. Recommend God's Menu, Thunderous, Back Door, Venom and Freeze. They are incredible at live performances, especially Kingdom Legendary War (They won first place) and Mama stages like Victory Song and Cheese. Nobody performs like they do.

Stray Kids are 4th gen KPop Leaders and their leader, Bangchan is certified ARMY. Felix, the deep voice guy, who looks like an angel but with a voice of a monster is always fans are looking forward too. I would recommend "God's menu" considered the "Queen" of their music genre. Also, "Thunderous", a diss track meant for haters saying their music is noisy like "construction" noise. Enjoy!

But believe it or not, Felix can also sing two octaves above his deep bass. He's actually got a beautiful singing voice for ballads (and he sings in a nice falsetto, too), but it has been underutilized lately because the focus has been on his deeper notes.

I am new to your channel and loved your reaction to stray kids. I have been a stay fan for stray kids for 3 1/2 years now. They are no joke all aces and can do it all. They are self produced they write, compose, arrange, and produce 99.9% of their own music. Actually Stray Kids members was hand picked by the leader (blue hair guy) Bang Chan or Christopher before they went on the reality elimination show called stray kids. That has never been done before in the industry then or since. They all managed to prove they had what it takes to debut in 2018. Bang Chan is from Australia and the oldest member. Felix (deep voice) was born in Australia as well and yes that is Felix's voice but he can also talk and sing in higher pitch tones and notes. He has an amazing vocal duality range. All the boys can rap, dance and have amazing vocal despite their main roles in the group. Love for you to react to Venom m/v, Freeze m/v and Thunderous m/v also their Japanese m/v Circus released this year is such a banger too. This will get you caught up on the recent releases but you also need to react to Gods Menu m/v and Back Door which are their iconic m/vs and a must see. They are releasing a new mini Album this Friday and it is going to be crazy good. Already #3 in pre order sales for k-pop.

I've been listening to k-pop since the Oddinary album came out around march. The amount of comfort and joy I have from this band is insane. They are just so genuine, down-to-earth, and humble. They also are insanely funny.
Also if you think 8 is a lot, NCT and Seventeen are a whole other deal. NCT with 23 members but they have a whole different thing going on and Seventeen with 13 members. Seventeen also has three leaders.
Felix has the deep voice, the cute little blond boy (I'm old so they're all boys to me). Yes, that's his voice, though he can go squeaky high or very low. His range is great. Stray Kids is the group formed from the Stray Kids reality show. Bang Chan, the blue-haired guy, is the leader and he handpicked all the members. JYP is their entertainment company... their boss, their managers, etc. (like Capitol Records, for example). Felix and Bang Chan were raised in Australia. Most of them speak English very well.

A little correction about the show. What that line meant was the show they were on was called "Stray Kids." JYP Entertainment is just the company that they're under that is in charge of managing them. Basically, unlike other Kpop reality shows where judges pick from a large group of contestants to form a group, in this show, the group was already together, but had to complete challenges in order to debut. They did complete them and made their official debut on March 25th, 2018!

I don't see anyone in the comments explaining the subunits of Stray Kids much more than mentioning their names, so here goes. Buckle up, it's gonna be a long one.
You already know all 8 members can pretty much do everything: sing, rap, dance, write lyrics and produce. What's unique about Stray Kids is that they were given a lot of creative freedom, since Bangchan (the group leader) managed to earn J.Y. Park's trust from the get-go by choosing his own members and producing the music, as well as encouraging other members write the lyrics, which you can see on the Survival Show.
But before Stray Kids even debuted, 3RACHA was the group who started EVERYTHING. Let me explain:
*3RACHA* is the producing unit of Stray Kids. Members of 3RACHA are Stray Kids' rappers: CB97 (Bangchan, 25yo), SPEARB (Changbin, 23yo) and J. ONE (Han, 22yo). They have been a group since 2016 and as such they have written and produced many songs and performed underground shows before they even debuted with other members as Stray Kids in 2018.
All 3RACHA members are recognized by Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) as they have been on the list of *100 most copyrighted songs written by male idols* for years now. This list gets renewed every year and as of September 2022, Bangchan is #10, Changbin is #17 and Han is #20 out of 100 male idols, with each one of them having 100+ songs copyrighted to their name. Bangchan is the youngest idol in top 10. 3RACHA write most of the lyrics and produce all 3RACHA and Stray Kids music.
Their discography is huge as they already have a few full albums, and you can look it up, but here are some song recommendations: *Runner's High, Hoodie Season, WOW, Matryoshka, HeyDay.*
*VOCALRACHA* is the singing unit and the members are Seungmin (22yo) and I.N. (Jeongin, 21yo). Woojin was also a part of this unit before he left and since Han (one of the rappers) took over all of his singing parts, he's also often associated with this unit, because he can hit the highest notes, which is very unusual for rappers. Both Seungmin and I.N. still take singing lessons. They work hard on perfecting their voices and you can hear how much their voices changed over time. Seungmin is a huge Day6 fan, like homeboy is whipped for this group, he auditioned for JYPE because of them. And I.N. looooovees Korean ethnic music, like the type of songs old Korean people listen to, and it's reflected a lot in his style of singing. Both of them wrote a few songs, too.

*DANCERACHA* is the dance unit. Members are Lee Know (24yo), Felix (22yo) and Hyunjin (22yo). They come up with choreographies WITH the help of JYPE dance teachers, but Lee Know is the one who then teaches other members. Before he debuted with Stray Kids, he was a backup dancer for BTS and is good friends with Jimin. Lee Know's dance is fluid (think body rolls) and he's very good with freestyle dance. Hyunjin has amazing control over his body, from his fingers down to his feet, it's mezmerizing to watch. Felix is a black belt at taekwondo, so he's very flexible, also he's quite small, therefore he is given all the acrobatic dance parts. Both Lee Know and Hyunjin did dance side projects.

Welcome to the family! This group has such a diverse discography and as a self-producing group they have a lot of control over their style and sound. They really came into their own in 2020 with the album GO Live and it's title track God's Menu. I honestly love all of their music and never get tired of listening to them as they incorporate so many genres in their music (probably 40+ at this point). They have also been described as having their own unique "mala taste genre" as there's no one quite like them. Listening to all the title tracks of the albums is a good place to start but there can be so much diversity in just 1 album you really don't want to skip any, or at least I don't.
The main writers/producers of the group are Bang Chan the leader (blue hair), Changbin (rapper with green streaks in hair) and Han (train with funny hat and high note at 4:43). They form the subunit 3racha and have rap songs on youtube from before they debuted with Stray Kids (also recommend checking those out if you get the chance). There area also non-album tracks they've created and songs from other groups that they've covered and uploaded called SKZ-records.
Their first music video was actually a test from their company CEO to see if they were ready for debut and was uploaded on YT on Oct 6th, 2017 (America), five and a half months before the group's debut on March 25th, 2018. The song was co-written and co-produced by 3racha and the choreo was created by their very own Lee Know(purple hair and the one drilling at the end of the vid), who is a professional dancer and was also a backup dancer for BTS before joining the company. The MV is at almost 100 million views and is about their struggles getting through everything in order to debut. The goal Stay's set for ourselves is to reach that 100mil milestone by it's anniversary which is also when the new album, Maxident, comes out (Midnight Oct 7th KST, or Oct 6th in America). There were 9 members initially but the 9th left the group in 2019, the older music videos can be confusing if you didn't know that before watching and are still trying to learn the members names and faces.
They make their own music
Please do more Stray Kids! They are the best in my opinion. Pretty much all their songs are bangers. Recommend God's Menu, Thunderous, Back Door, Venom and Freeze. They are incredible at live performances, especially Kingdom Legendary War (They won first place) and Mama stages like Victory Song and Cheese. Nobody performs like they do.

Stray Kids are 4th gen KPop Leaders and their leader, Bangchan is certified ARMY. Felix, the deep voice guy, who looks like an angel but with a voice of a monster is always fans are looking forward too. I would recommend "God's menu" considered the "Queen" of their music genre.
Also, "Thunderous", a diss track meant for haters saying their music is noisy like "construction" noise. Enjoy!
