    Nice work. That's a huge box blade. I've never used one. I usually get by with my front end bucket and a rear blade.

    good footage of the box blade in action a big thanks to your brother. I have the same box blade .what I did with mine was take 4 inch square metal tubing and filled it with concrete and mounted it to the box blade, the added weight really makes the box blade dig in

    Does the boxblade you used have a way to pin the rear/trailing cutting edge in place versus letting it float? I believe that helps with fine grading when pulling forward, especially with the infinite remote tilt adjustability you have using your hydraulic top link.

    @Good works Tractors (or anyone who has experience with tractor implements) is there a good attachment to use for compacting soil or gravel? I know there are compactors that a person can rent..just wanted to know if you guys have knowledge of anyway to do that using a tractor. Thanks and great videos..

    • @jamesb2291
      @jamesb2291 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The simplest solution is just driving over the area repeatedly with as much weight as possible on the tractor. You can get decent compaction with this method if you're careful to only fill incrementally and evenly and then "track in" each elevation lift.

  • @raymondmcdonald7085

    Good morning. All of your work is really bringing it all together! Looks great. Just thought I would share a little insight on the box blade. I have used mine extensively in all sorts of conditions and it really is my go to for finish work. The only attachment I have found that looks like it would work better is the ABI landscape finish rake. The budget isn't allowing me to purchase it right now so the box blade will suffice. The key thing to remember is a box blade is designed for pulling. You can push with it but be extra careful pushing. If you catch something that doesn't give you can bend your draft links. Ask me how I know!

  • @Sparkeee1978

    I think a little faster, to get the "rolling action" that reduces friction considerably by keeping the soil in constant movement would improve your results and reduce the strain on machine. similar to using a bottom plow, if you go too slow, its easier to bog down then if you move the optimal speed. the rolling action within the box will help. I see that sticky soil may be preventing that, but its worth a try.
