And...I saw at my Dollar General store yesterday a cute sign that said: "Don't forget to put your positive pants on!" No joke! Our store just did a remodel and has more home decor...LOVE IT! So, go get that sign if you don't already have it!
I do PD every day in the summer. I’m always reading a PD book everyday and finding online conferences. Twitter is also wonderful. Yes to the library video! I’m moving from fourth grade math and science to second! I’m most excited about all the books I’ve purchased this summer. My library needs a major overhaul whenever we go back.

I have been reading a few PD books this summer and it has really helped refocus my creative energy as I plan for next year. Books are great, but I agree, connecting with other educators online/in person is a great way to get new ideas! I save a lot of ideas on my phone for later, but running them by other teachers helps me sort through what is REALLY worth trying. Thanks for sharing!
I was avoiding this video, but I enjoyed it! I think it's a nice balance of what to do during the summer. I've been doing similar things to you. I have reclaimed my schedule of working out, PD (which I'm done with by the way!!), and moderate room idea gathering. I use Google Keep to store my screenshots and move them to a Must Do/May Do list once it gets closer to my start date. Keep up your motivating work!
I love saving webpages directly from the browser to the notes app...no copy/paste, everything is in one location, and the link brings me back when I have time to follow up on my ‘to check out’ list. 👍

I figure since we can't know what will happen in the new school year, I'd better up my game in terms of technology. Unfortunately because of COVID, our school year is running right through to the end of August, then we begin our new school year first week of September. Not a lot of time to prepare things... (I teach in China)

I am totally on pause, I can’t prepare things for the classroom as we aren’t even sure that we are going back in September. We could be either full distance again, hybrid system of in class and distance or full time in class. I am not even sure how I can get my planner figured out. We won’t know until mid August
I am the same way. I am usually doing a ton of things to get ready for the year. This year nothing. We got an email last week.... we must remove all personal items from the room. We will only be allowed one book shelf, a small group table, and a teacher desk. No classroom library may be in the room. No extra seating like bean bags or sofas. No manipulatives. All desks 6 feet apart and facing forward. The picture of the ideal set up they sent us looked like a high school classroom from the 50’s. I teach 4th grade and the set up is the expectation for kindergarten through 6th grade. 😭
I say so what makes you happy and what decreases your anxiety. We will be going back to the classroom eventually. So a little prep here and there can help out in the long run.
Yes! I just went through all of my forgotten screenshot ideas lol it helped me to make an album in my gallery for school pictures so I can easily see all of them in one spot versus scrolling through all of my pictures. Love your videos!
For this month, I'm doing really intensive PD- I'm taking Mandarin Chinese lessons every other day for 2 hours, and doing a mental health course for Classroom Anxiety. I reinterviewed in my school and didn't get it cause I was up against someone with a lot more experience, so I feel like I need this PD to give me an edge in interviews....

I think you can get a circle punch at many crafting stores or online. Just search circle punch and determine what diameter circle you need.
