TJ's garlic naan is so good! My fav quick way to heat it is to let a pat of butter come to a sizzle in a frying pan, then add the naan. By the time it's toasty on both sides, it will have absorbed the butter. 😋

I really enjoy the Paneer Tikka and chicken samosas. Their chicken soup dumplings are pretty bomb too! As far as the mochi goes, I enjoy them a lot, and if you let it sit for about 2-3 minutes, it melts just a tiny bit so you get the creamy ice cream feel and the outer skin is chewy too.

Pro tip: microwaving items made with flour results in the glutens in the flour being overworked and made rubbery. The wet paper towel wrap works a little, but you really need to steam to get the right result. One thing you can do is put a small bowl of water in the microwave next to the item. That plus the wrapping the item in damp cloth should do it.

OMG I discovered the Zindrew chili oil at the NorCal/626 night market last year. We of course opted for x-batch too lol! Downside to living at home is that the mother burned through it faster than I would’ve preferred. Then she holds up the empty jar and asks me to buy more. The AUDACITY lmao. I was like ok it’s $18 online and she was like 😱. I was STOKED to see they were back this year at the night market this past weekend selling it at 3 8oz jars for $36. You bet your ass I bought three for myself this time lol. Always better to buy it straight from the source, anyway. I hear 626 will be back in July, so more chances to get hot sauce from them if you’re in the Bay 🔥
For TJs part 2- UBE products! I just picked up ube tea cookies at the Milpitas location a couple days ago. Also, highly recommend the Japanese fried rice with the seaweed and edamame. Annnnnd they make a ghost pepper chili oil now. I picked a jar up maybe a month ago at the SJ Coleman location and the spice level is similar to x-batch I think.

There’s three different Bulgogi at Trader Joe’s. You can buy the whole piece of meat like a 3 pound piece and throw it on the grill that’s delicious then they have it in the frozen box where it’s just the Bulgogi meat that’s delicious and then the third option is the bag with the rice. I won’t buy the Bulgogi with the rice option ever again.

They are egg rolls. Not spring tools. People think spring rolls are healthier, so it is a marketing scheme. Love your content, keep up the great work!

If possible, could you try some of the TJ Asian bottled sauces? I’ve always been curious about them. Thank you! Love your videos!

This is interesting from the perspective of someone that’s never been to a Trader Joe’s
