Sarah Jeffrey (Audrey) actually had a scheduling conflict and wasn’t able to participate in D2, so they made a storyline to “explain her absence” and return back. Which is epic.

One of my favorite things about the last couple of minutes of the movie is Harry asking if Mal is definitely taken. Because the actors at the time were dating.

I always assumed Uma flipped back in favor of helping Mal when she heard Celia scream. At that point it was less about helping Mal and more about saving Celia. 🤷♀️

Oh, another thing! Audrey saying "Devil on my shoulder", Maleficent's crow's name is Diablo, which means devil in Spanish. And if you paid attention to her outfit when she was evil, had feathers, meaning she's really doing Maleficent's dirty work.

I must admit, one of my favorite things about this Descendants movie is the relationship between Dr Facilier and his daughter. Most of the VK's are trying to escape their parents Celia snaps because she won't be able to see him again and with him being the only Villian of African American descent, the fact that they have such a bond is heartwarming and I applaud Disney for breaking the black father stereotype in this movie

I was just pointing out how Dr Facilier in this case was closest thing to a healthy parent that the Isle showed us and for him to be a black male, was 👍. That dynamic is so differently betrayed in alot of media. Some media (not all mind you) portrays black men as deadbeats who just leaves their children and I love how this movie flips that dynamic. That's what I was getting at
You’re right. I liked how they had a nice relationshio and shows just because the forst four kids of this series did not have the best upbringing, at least there are some kids who are loved by their parents. It also makes Facilier more likable too. Maybe he did not kill ray in this world.
It did not make sense how the films made it seem like all the villains were bad parents.
@@gabrielleduplessis7388 I feel like out of the OG 4 VK's parents, only 2 out of 4 of them were SUPER abusive, those being Cruella & Maleficent. Both Evil Queen & Jafar seemed to get proud of their kids sometimes and somewhat loved them though they wanted to escape too.

Just so you know, when Audrey’s grandma told her that her mother could keep a prince in her sleep, she wasn’t taking about Cindy(as you call her) (actually Cinderella), she was talking about Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) plus most of the kids start with either of their parents’ initials so Cinderella and Audrey don’t match as Aurora and Audrey do. But either way I loved your reaction to this movie series😂🔥

She drugged a guy, stole him out of serious relationship then gaslighted Audrey when she reacted to that garbage and finally snapped. She does nothing but lie and mess everything up with her sneaky antics. She's still evil to the very end and is the WORST 😫😂 audrey...you got cheated 😭😂

@@laur131306 Audrey sucked... She was as bad as Mal with her judgemental ass. Also it takes two to tangle, Ben fell in love with Mal first. He even stayed with her after the spell had been lifted. In D1, Mal's mission was to lie, cheat, and manipulate, and she turned a new leaf by the end. D2, none of these characteristics followed her imo. And she saved them from Uma, so... Unless you can provide examples... D3, understandable take, though, her intention wasn't necessary to hurt anyone. However, her decision was awful and she should've reassessed.
Except that’s literally the point of her character, she’s the daughter of a cheating, terrorizing, person who literally told her to ACT that way. Don’t say that she’s the worst when you don’t even know what D1 is about

They had actually finished the movie when the core four realized the signature line "We're rotten to the core" hadn't been said in this movie and went to Kenny who immediately went to the writers and added the very last scene.
A little hint to Hades being Mal’s dad was during the first movie, during “Evil Like Me” there were blue flames. I loved Hades in this movie.
It’s definitely not my favorite one but to be fair neither was the third high school musical, I loved the second one the most for both. I will say Kenny Ortega certainly knows what he’s doing making these movies 👏🏻

The actress who played Audrey was actually doing a different movie/show when they filmed the second Descendants movie.
So they did a short to 'explain' her absence. That her fairy godmothers took her for a spa day or something.
When she said her mother could keep a prince in her sleep, she was referring to sleeping beauty ( aurora). Cuts even deeper when you look at it from that angle.
It gets even darker when you read the original version

This movie had some great songs & on my iPod. "Night Falls" reminds me of "It's Going Down". Also, "Do What You Gotta Do" is like the song from the first movie with Mal and her mom with the song "Evil Like Me".

The choreography was pretty great and I absolutely loved Audrey's transformation!
I thought that Audrey acted like a spoiled whiny brat in the movie. Reminded of girls that I knew in my church youth group. I think that the woman who plays Audrey is a terrible actress.

In terms of singing, Cheyenne Jackson (Hades) is my second favourite after China Anne McClain (Uma). But his song here isn't quite as good as his songs in Julie and the Phantoms (also created by Kenny Ortega).
I love how Evie has a whole song where she struggles with her feelings about her boyfriend Doug, and I love the unity anthem at the end of the movie "Break This Down" my two favorite songs in this movie are the opening number "Good To Be Bad" and the duet between Mal and Hades "Do What You Gotta Do"

Billy, the line from Mal when she's talking to Hades "for sixteen years I had nothing" (something like that) was because she went to the aisle when she was sixteen, not because she was sixteen in this movie
The fact that Cameron died right before the premiere of the movie happened I litterally cried when I found out because he was my child hood I remember him from Jessie Jake and the never land pirates and that film with Jennifer Lopez he was such a good dancer he was probably the best out of all the cast I watched his dance videos I watched his recent films that where released a while after the died luckily he was finished filming it must have been hard for him he kept his condition secret till the day he died I thought he was murderd untill the realesed that he had epilepsy his career was starting to take of even further he had all these plans and the cast still post about him mainly China McLain and Skai Jackson they 3 of them grew up together filming since they where literal kids he was in my top 10 favorite actor list and my favorite Disney actor I litterally have a poster of his last pic on Instagram written on it’s says Rest In Peace every once in a while I go back to watch all the films he was in he was so kind and only a few years older than me to be honest I even had a crush on him growing up he was one of my first crushes when he was on jest I was like 10 or something that’s also when I realized I was no he quite literally was my bi awakening I’m about to cry again😞😭

Everyone wants to ship them but I didn't see a "relationship " but a bond for the love of nature and wanting to know more, maybe if they had more than one scene where they seemed extra close..... but I love that they technically are the first from opposite sides to try and get along.

You'd totally love "Strange magic" from Lucasfilm. It's a nice family movie, but has a nice soundtrack and good comedic moments.

Disney actually had more scenes with Carlos, but they cut it because big part of the audience were kinda uncomfortable with watching him, because they got way too sad and it was like a sort of a 'trigger' (not sure if the word's right, English isn't my first language) to them, since the movie was released right after he passed away

Honestly, your prediction would have made this film better. Imagine if Audrey teamed up with uma and hades. It would add more complications because Audrey wants to choose being bad while uma and hades are having an internal battle of being good while being lured into their bad side.
For something so whimsical, this movie is pretty dark. Mal’s father abandoned her making Malificient seem like an angel in comparison. Audrey has to deal with a insane amount of pressure of being something she is not just because her grandmother wants it.
Uma and Harry are dealing with their own neglect and abandonment issues.
Great premises, bad execution, but I still love it.

This movie felt more like a musical that is set on a stage than an actual musical movie (if that makes sense)
They are in fact 18, in the fourth book Mal says mentions that they’re now seniors and will soon be graduating and this movie is set after graduation so yeah, most of the main characters are 18 except Carlos and Jane who’re a year younger

i think the main issue with D3 is that there are just toooooo many songs that the entire plot just gets buried. soundtrack for the movie is really to each their own. personally, it took me awhile to get used to the songs in D3 coz it took a completely different turn as compared to D1 and D2. but a few of the songs made it to playlist so theres that😂

So what actually happened was that she was working on another project (not related to descendants obv) and wasn't in the 2nd movie because of that. But in terms of the series it was said that she was doing the whole "transformation makeover because of her breakup". Also in the 1st movie they were 16, in the 2nd they were 17 and now they're 18 so.

The funniest part was when he called Uma as therma, I'm not being rude, it's funny. Well most of the parts of the movie was hilarious when Hades felt someone hit him in the back
she was talking about Sleeping beauty not cinderella lol. when she said “her mom kept a man in her sleep” lol
I feel that the HadesxMaleficent pairing is an Easter egg to the old Disney’s House of Mouse cartoon. There was an episode where Hades asks Mickey to help him get Maleficent’s attention; it’s hilarious.
Also, Cameron loved Michael Jackson’s dancing and showed that in his moves, especially in Night Falls.

I will say. I do like this movie but the first 2 were ten times better. Also what made me mad is Dizzy (the little girl that is really good friends with eevie) and the other two kids barely got like any screentime. And Lonnie isn't in this movie at all nor even mentioned. I liked her and I wish we saw her in this movie but yeah
I always say that the 1st movie is the best overall. The 2nd movie has the best soundtrack. And the 3rd movie had the best potential/concepts. Love this series😋
All of the 3 were good
The first movie, they were 16. The next movie was around six months later, when they were 17. Audrey went to a spa vacation with the three fairies that protected Aurora and missed most of the school year. The third movie takes place when they're 18. Audrey is in summer school for missing most of her senior year. This movie takes place in the summer right after graduation.
I'm going to miss this series of reactions, it's been so much fun
