On The Bench - 1976 Fender Deluxe Reverb Amplifier

We received a number of requests to shoot some video of this amp that was recently serviced here at Granville and posted on Instagram. I have no problem with a reasonable request and the owner was kind enough to lend it to me for the task, so here you go.

Love that cross. And it used to get cold in Florida quite a bit ... especially Tallahassee. I have a '77 DR in a MojoTone cab and it is fabulous. I've always said that DR's are the most articulate amps that Fender ever made.

Sounds great to me . I almost had a 74 I did a trade but the owner couldn’t get along with the amp I traded and asked for it back so I did it. It I wish I still had it , it was beautiful

Love my 72. I put a Jenson in it which seems to handle getting cranked well..,but I wonder what other speakers would sound cool? Breaks up around 5, by 7/8 it’s roaring. Tone knobs need to get dialed back the louder you get depending on what guitar p/u your using.

That's a fine overall choice for Fender amplifiers. I usually prefer something from the Jensen Jet line myself.

Guru? I'm not sure I like that term, actually. Too many folks out there call themselves that without grasping its meaning. I'm a vintage amp guy. I enjoy fixing up the good stuff and bringing it back to the original intention. So, I guess you could say I'm an Amp Guy.
