No other band has ever reached closer to the sound of Warlord and Lordian Guard. Dark Epic Metal as it should be played

For me, they are one of the best new wave bands, they really understand and can capture the spirit of these classic epic metal bands from the 80s. In addition, the musicians put a lot of emphasis on creating atmospheres, appropriately obscure production and settled in an unexplored niche of epic metal. Black Sword Thunder Attack chose the company of such bands as Warlord, Lordian Guard, Longings Past, early Adramelch from Italy and Ageless Wisdom and managed to create music that would not embarrass them in such a respectable group. It is also worth noting that although strong inspirations from the work of William Tsamis (RIP) are evident, the album is by no means a ripoof and has its own character and atmosphere. The album is clearly more dark and sorcery than the mass, apocalyptic work of LG.

If you have not already.... check out mid/late 70's Hawkwind albums like "Warrior on the Edge of Time", "Astounding Sounds Amazing Music", "Quark Strangeness and Charm" and "PXR5" Moorcock is involved with them especially WOTEOT! Oh and mid 80's album "Chronicle of the Black Sword"

Excellent epic metal. The band has one thing in common with Lordian Guards first album, the production. In both cases it`s weak!
in the second case it's intentioned to resemble the old days
Great music, but poor mixing. Vocals should be louder, bass is almost inaudible.
How you can ruin a great composition with the wrong vocal choice, Damien King, Mr. Zonder, put order in there for the Ancient Kingdoms sake. Not my thing.
I think a Lordian Guard inspired project needs this kind of vocals
