I dont mind fast guards. Just dont make the shooting ridiculously easy like 22. Make it hard like the beginning of 24 and keep it that way the entire year. If you cant shoot, get better, dont cry and complain for a patch. Once shooting is “buffed” the game goes to shit.

I personally don’t care. I’ve been isoing for years. I’m far from the best in the world but I’m also not a casual and way above average. Whether big or small guard I’m gonna work.
The smaller guards should be used by people with skills period . Not everybody know how to utilize a small guard . Big or small height don’t matter . Taller builds should dominate smaller builds it’s a height difference.
This is no lie. Same thing goes for big gaurds also. I been rim running for years with 6'2-6'4 pgs since 19. I can't get jiggy with big gaurds.

Small guards aren’t guarding anyone 6’5 or taller, y’all are only thinking offensively. Attributes sound like they are finally going to matter. If you make a small guard that is 175 pounds wth 70 perimeter 50 block and no interior, don’t cry to Mike Want saying you’re getting cooked, it’s common sense.

I’m still going to make a tall guard cuz I play 2s mainly and sometimes 3s and I like having a lot of defense and isoing and being able to rim run
it all depends on how shooting is easy in 2k25. in 2k22 when smaller guards were dominating, i was shooting three points 72% in 5k games. smaller guards made sense.
@@ballingthemaximum 2k would have to reward small guards to shoot a lot better by getting easy access to legend badges ,High dribble , high stamina ,slithery , and don’t bump steals.

I’m glad they’re bringing them back cuz all the bots use big guards and they suck but they just rim run and take layups and square dunks and think they good. Now they will get to see the difference between a skillful dribbler/scorer and somebody that just runs through their defender t o take contact layups
All this means is being taller is the advantage. Because of the mini marksman badge I’m assuming they will get way better contests/ignore contests compared to shorter players. Taller players also have always gotten more attributes than smaller players so they just switched it around

Taller gaurds 6,5 and up will eventually see that gaurd is not their position and when they have a guard 6,4 and under with defense and size its just alot better

You couldn't use small guards this year because there was one animation to get space, trying to use space creator is trash don't even have the same release cue, and with the lag shooting is so inconsistent and perimeter defense is so RIDICULOUSLY OP. I played against 6'8's with 58 peri D and I couldn't shoot anything against them with a 97 3pt rating

This meta term is going way over its head. Every game has metas and the only way to counter it is making everything else just as or slightly less op to reduce the gap. And the only way 2k can save it is how much better hof and legend badges will be compared to gold and lower. If hof isn’t at least 30% better than gold and legend isn’t 40 or 50% better than hof then the builder is broken. But we will have to wait and see

I said I wasn’t buying 24 and my friends convinced me. After 20+ years and playing this game at a VERY HIGH level each year. I think this will be my very last year and I don’t have plans to buy it. I’m SO UNENTHUSIASTIC about this new upcoming game. It’s the same broken game every year, that sucks people dry.
