The Hogwarts kitchen is not otherwise inaccessible, just find the pear painting by the Hufflepuff common room. Hold the interact key to tickle the pear and the door will open.
The main reason to collect starred/shiny creatures is to breed them and get the 10 shiny creatures bred appearance reward, which is a VERY cool golden half mask with small purple jewels. It's possibly the best face item in the game and makes shiny creature hunting and breeding worth the time investment.
Something to note, you don't have to go all the way across the world map to use the glitch to get into the common rooms. There is a really convenient glitch spot in the castle. Go to the transfiguration court yard, head into the little covered hallway adjacent to the statue that you repaired when you learned the reparo spell, and then go to the far right window in that hallway and jump into the right side of the frame. As you clip through, immediately turn back around. You will fall through the world. Then just mount your broom and go to each common room as described, but without a several minute flight to get to the castle.
What i find interesting about the ravenclaw mission is the fact that the wand is made with a fairy core instead of the normal three, that ollivanders use.
Another broom that is sold, is by the goblin for which you retrieve his wagons just south of Hogwarts ( Carted away ). Personally my favorite design for flying brooms, also called the flying Arrow. But it's 5000 like the guy behind the train station.
Majority of the rare beasts are albino with the exception of Unicorn that are bright gold, hippogryph that are black, Thestrals that are a teal blue, Jobberknolls which are black and grey, and fwoopers which are light pink.
I think gryffindors quest is the best quest... to meet the headless hunt and nicks struggle with them was very very special to me.. you probably have to read the books to appreciate this
Yeah if you've read the books and read about the death day party and that then it's probably the best one if azkaban was longer it would be good but it's basically a cut scene and a shirt walk
I play as a Ravenclaw and I hated the lack of attention to detail in the Quest to the point where the character doesn't even return to hand over the Wand he retrieves. Other than that I'm loving the game.

Guys the main character never says he grabs it he says it's destroyed and later on in the game olivander says he went and got it back and put it's remains away in a box
Pretty funny I haven't learned expelliarmus or been to the cave yet but went to hogsmeade to sell some clothes and spoke to wand guy and the dialogue of the quest ending played out lol
Anyone can get into the kitchen. It's a direct reference to the books to tickle the pear to get in but I guess if you didn't know that and weren't a Gryffindor you could completely miss out
i'm in ravenclaw, and i couldn't tickle the pear until progressing the main story to some point in fall, so people who found it early on and never went back to check might not have known they could get in
After 130 hours I can say this game is a mile wide and a foot deep. The dungeons on the map are basically just a hallway. Exploration isn’t really rewarded. Hogwarts castle is amazing but Hogsmead and the world is pretty shallow. There is a ton of lore and the game is true to the source material. I just wish it had more depth/reason to reply ie choices actually mattered and using curses had an actual affect from npcs.
One thing I wish I knew sooner was to not open the giant cage in a small bandit camp in the most northern part of the map. Imagine being locked out of a 100% playthrough because a quest related to that cage is extremely breakable but only finding out within an hour of almost hitting that milestone.
1:45 saw that area and didn't know what it was and thought it was where I was missing my last hogwarts page. But it was only for the slytherin student to meet jake
Also I was able to buy a 2nd aeromancer broom. There was ashopkeeper just floating over the water near the cliffs east of Cragcroft. If you drop off your broom into water, you can purchase from him. I think I may be the one of the first to find this guy.
There is a couple times where vendor brooms restock themselves due to glitch. It doesn't do anything but waste your gold, since you can't even see that you have duplicates in the menu screen.
Theres also a way to get out of the world border and to 3 places that look like they will be part of an update, when you get to them sometimes voice lines trigger and stuff

I spent WAY too much time trying to figure out why some animals had that + sign and what advantage it has. Glad to know that it doesn't matter whatsoever. LOL
I wonder, if you collect all daedalian keys/ house tokens, then do the any house glitch as a slytherin going into the hufflepuff common room, will it allow you to get the hufflepuff relic cloak, or just lock you out of the house chest in general.
I've seen people glitch into other common rooms and insert their house tokens from an obviously different house, but it just gave them the cloak from the house they chose :(
So I might be missing a few, but so far there’s three spells shown in the game that we aren’t able to use. Expecto Patronum, Silencio, and Incarcerous. It would be nice if they could add more spells either to use while free roaming or if they add a DLC they should add those spells to fit the story. The game is great, but there’s so many more spells I’d like to see beyond those three I mentioned. Confundo would be one that could play a big role in a mission or just fighting enemies during a roam. I’m a bit disappointed that Rictusempra wasn’t added since it’s the first spell Harry used in the films. But biggest of all, like the most important spell I want to see added is actually already in the game for players and that’s Alohomora. It’s a spell to unlock locks. I shouldn’t have to do a mini game. I think once you’re at Alohomora 3 you should be able to avoid the lock pick mini game.
I'm Ravenclaw and finished the jackdaw quest and then uncovered the kitchens scroll but when I tickle the pear, it does not turn into a doorknob so I can't enter and I don't know why?
My first play through was hufflepuff cuz that’s my pottermore results (also refused to take any dark arts talents or learn any curses) and I remember thinking the Azkaban trip was so cool but didn’t connect the dots that it was house specific. So then I start my mean girl bully dark witch play through as a slytherin, and got the note from scrope and was like wait wtf is this??? That play through I was also more exploratory outside of the hogwarts interior and went to the cave before I even got to that point and spend ten minutes just trying to figure out if I could open it, then scrope sent me there lol I love that there’s some variation between the houses. Wouldn’t mind more variation though so replaying 4 times could be worth it Also, hufflepuff has an off-limits girls only floor that confused the hell out of my wizard lol

Yeah, Ravenclaws keep getting shafted, lol. Official gear isn't even book accurate (colors are blue and bronze, not silver, mascot is an eagle, not a raven...the game got it right!). But, Ravenclaw is the only house without a companion with a steady questline, and the jackdaw quest was boring and uneventful, especially in comparison. Hopefully DLC will add something for all the Ravenclaw fans. 🦅

Lol when I saw the star on magical beasts you can " rescue" (btw so easy to make money with. Brood and peck made me rich) i thought they would give more resources or something, so captured every beast accept pheonix and graphon, a male and female, bred them and neither them nor the off spring gave any more resources really. So kind of a waste.
I think that's just beast dependent, no? Some creatures give 5 while others give 3. I tested the non-star mooncalf and both that and the shiny variant gave 5 each :/ Not sure about the rest
Unicorn foals are always gold, but the 'shiny' version of the adults you can 'rescue' is more of a bay colour. Tbh, I prefer the regular white ones. The 'shinies' are disappointing, IMO. They don't provide any extra mats or command a higher price at Brood & Peck. There is also the Silver Arrow broom you can get from Arn after you rescue his carts from the goblin camp. You'll find him at a crossroads somewhat south of Lower Hogsfield.

Aside from landing platforms I got almost everything done before the end of the story, I beat the story at 32 hours. And am at 44 hours now and just found all of the platforms and have finally hit 100% on everything!
Low key I got bored of the game. Lol. I tried every side quest possible. Got to the point of the store. If you know you know. Idk maybe I need a break. The gear system sucks. Nothing I’ve found is worth it. And it’s ugly. 😂

I think it’s best to have 1 star and 1 normal version of the beasts for the collection aspect 1 male other female any way around

I have yet to capture a golden unicorn and i check daily, it might be a bug.
When trying to catch a beast as they're fleeing, use accio. Once they're close enough, use arresto momentum. Then use your bag.
Or just put it in story mode lol

Actually probably not, the gear most likely is based on your character, the same way all normal clothing is color coded by your house.
Aside from landing platforms I got almost everything done before the end of the story, I beat the story at 32 hours. And am at 44 hours now and just found all of the platforms and have finally hit 100% on everything!
Get your facts right.. you can get in the kitchen with any house..

Low key I got bored of the game. Lol. I tried every side quest possible. Got to the point of the store. If you know you know. Idk maybe I need a break. The gear system sucks. Nothing I’ve found is worth it. And it’s ugly. 😂
