    Thanks for checking out the new plugin, Erik! It was cool to hear it auditioned on this kind of material. Me and the guys are incredibly proud to have created this plugin 100% in-house. We were able to ensure it fully met our creative vision and would be a digital product worthy of being called a Silver Bullet. Looking forward to seeing what you create with it.

      You're welcome! Wow I didn't get that you had done all the coding in house, double impressed now. The way this plugin models analog non-linear behaviour is amazing and basically it is one huge sweet spot. Looking forward to get into the distortion models... Any plans to release more models of colour modules as add ons?

    Great review, I just have been using the plugin for the last few days and it's become one of my favorites. Problem is now I want the hardware. I've yet to use a plugin that sounds 100 percent as good as a hardware unit so it makes me want that extra 5-10 percent of what that hardware offers. They must have did a great job of this (I haven't used the hardware so I can't say for sure) because it sounds great. That hitmaker 4000 tho 🔥🔥

  • @matt_nyc_audioengineer
    @matt_nyc_audioengineer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think it does sound pretty good! My only grievance is the aliasing and no oversampling option to resolve it. In the box distortion can sound very good but not once aliasing artifacts appear. When used subtly it sounds great but I won't push the plugin hard. Not unless an oversampling option gets added or I suppose if they made the plugin upsample internally but I would much rather the os option. Hopefully it gets added in a future update!

    • @LouderThanLiftoff
      @LouderThanLiftoff ปีที่แล้ว +11

      The plugin has automatic internal oversampling. We very carefully applied oversampling and anti-aliasing filters in our DSP to give us the sonics we desired and the closest match to the hardware we could achieve.

    • @RapidFlow_Shop
      @RapidFlow_Shop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there thanks for your feedback. My studio hack is using Presonus Quantum converters on Thunderbolt. Work on both Mac and PC (have had both) and they are unbelievably low latency. I do all my monitoring direct through the DAW with full (low latency) FX. I will never go back to using a separate software mixer in the sound card. The Orpheus are connected via ADAT which only ads about 2-3 ms more latency so overall I am around 12 Ms from in to out which is fine by me. I could run at lower buffers, but I find this is the sweet spot for me, never notice the latency. Highly recommended way to work hearing everything through the DAW!
