    I love your Eva cardigan! It’s on my list to knit. All of the baby knits are adorable. I love the mommy and me knits💕💕. Your baby is part of your life and we watch you to get to know you….so it’s absolutely fine to talk and show your baby things!! It’s all knitting! If we aren’t having a baby, we all usually know someone who is and we can get gift ideas!! ❤

    I’m also due in October and I feel the same way about figuring out what to knit! I have only one WIP going right now (a cardigan), and feel that any other garment knitting for myself will have to wait until after I deliver so that I can get a good fit. But if I cannot knit for myself then I feel a bit lost on what to do - although your baby knits were quite inspiring!

      Congratulations to you!!! I have found focusing baby knits around stash busting has been quite fun - makes it easier to know what to make as there’s so much!!! But I also know baby won’t care how much I make her and that takes some pressure off.

    I might would make a few more baby mittens and booties with the extra yarn, burp cloth, wash cloth, anything you will need lots of.

      @KarolinesKnits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely planning the whole “more is more” - but I do also have non-knitted version of some of the items like mittens and booties which I think will be nice depending on weather 😊

    Lovely episode,thanks Karoline! It was a joy to watch in the middle of my own decluttering and getting things ready for my own baby while knitting on the Holger Baby set :) Your knits are lovely and I really enjoy hearing about preparing for baby and motherhood even if the life is not just about that

    Lovely episode and beautiful knits. Your Eva looks great. I love that pattern. About to cast on my fourth...
    If you are planning to do babywearing (soft carrier or wrap) I can highly recommend an oversized cardigan to put on over top of the wrap/carrier. That way you can take it off when you get hot and also close it over the baby for warmth. Especially since she is a winter baby ❤

      @@oldwitchknits-Ursula that sounds like a lovely idea! Knitting up another cardigan though….. I’ll give it a month or two before I consider that 🤣

      @@KarolinesKnits I get it, I don't love the long rows of purling. But I have been obsessed with cardigans lately so I want a few more.
      You could just knit on a larger gauge? Maybe some light weight woolen spun or unspun or a blown yarn? That would knit up pretty fast.

    I never worry about having leftover yarn from my projects. I have made easy and very cozy blankets using all my leftovers.

    • @KarolinesKnits
      @KarolinesKnits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve considered that too! But a lot of my yarns don’t feel quite right for blankets - they’d pill and fluff too much I think!

    You might wanna wash the baby hat you put on Fila before you put it on your newborn baby

    • @KarolinesKnits
      @KarolinesKnits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Fairly certain that the short exposure of the hat to the dog won’t be an issue - Fayla does, after all, live in the house so I can’t generally limit exposure 😊

      @@KarolinesKnits exactly! Also, there is a study showing that kids who grow up in fairly sterile environments have a higher risk of developing lymphoma! Growing up with dogs around is amazing!
