@@currensea9094 The rule is really pointless with a player in this situation. The rule is to protect the team under contract but the Vikings clearly didn't want to grantee $ so the same signing would have happened 2 days later.

The Dolphins "got their license revoked". They lost a 1st rd pick for people they didn't even sign! And other teams had similar punishments for breaking the rules (as small and meaningless as they might seem). THAT is why there's outrage. That's why Florio is upset. Because the league shows favoritism. He's not saying the falcons deserve to have their 1st rd pick stripped away... he's saying if other teams have had that happen, it would be only fair to do that here too
