    Workers at some technology firms in Japan have been swapping the office for the slopes, thanks to a pilot scheme that lets them work remotely from holiday destinations. Special mobile workstation vans at Ikenotaira Ski Resort in Myoko city allow participants to hop off and hit the slopes in their free time. The pilot programme, launched by various cooperating companies, is expected to last until March 2021.

      LOL, looks like the "Daihatsu revitalization team" is trying to justify it's existence. Can't they just use a normal mini van/camper with like, a roof, and walls, and a heater? Plenty off cool little ones based on those trucks in Japan.

      @282花火 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@macelius it definitely would cost more, by modding smaller vans it reduces the cost and also makes it more road friendly as roads do tend to be small in japan or eastern countries in general. These types of vehicles are common so probably why they are chosen

    Cool idea, but the last scene shows that there're not many people utilizing this snowboarding site, probably due to the pandemic. Hate to sound cynic, but I think this could be a propaganda video clip promoting the site's business in Japan. In short, how productive can an office worker be when working in a freezing parking lot of an amusement site anyway?

    Why do all cool things have to happen in the far east, while we have horrible counter-epidemic system here in the Czech Republic alongside a social media campaingn w/ influencers (I hope that the word influencer becomes a pejorative soon) to promote vaccinations (while no promotion is needed, the demand for vaccines is far larger than the supply). Man we were freed from the eastern bloc in '89 just to be captured in the "American bloc" 10 years later... Now the architecture is becoming boring and grayscale, there are malls while our passageways with stores are empty now, and american pop culture is everywhere. There is no reason for rap and reality shows on TV to be so popular but it is, and I hate it. I wish we had more Japanese/Far eastern influence. The politicians are just pro-russian bc. "nostalgia" or pro-american bc. "the paradigm of civilized world".
