But I understand sometimes we don't have a choice and have to take them to work with us, I mean no you can't leave a child alone under any circumstances at home. But when it comes to it affecting the child's health like it did in the cold wind and air, then it's better to take that great salary he gets and make a plan for a day care or something beter for her health and for them. He gets a great salary, 4 times more than the average person gets here in South Africa, so he really has no excuse.
I was blessed to take my son with me to work, DR'S visits, shopping and I would not go anywhere that he couldn't go to and when he turned 4 yrs. old I put him in school. He's 36 yrs.old now and very smart.

I have the greatest respect for this guy. He doesn't allow his situation and his life define him. I totally agree. Those who grow up seeing their parents work hard to earn a living are most likely to become more successful. This reminds me of my childhood. My dad takes me to school in his motorbike ( rain or shine) There were times we get soaked due to heavy rain. He teaches, educated me with a lot of things while I’m riding on his motorbike. After school, I stay in one corner watching him work until it’s time for us to go home. It made me strong, resilient and successful.

Reasons why Asian people put much work in their education is because no matter how strict our parents are, we see their struggles. They put a brave face in front of their children but we are not oblivious of their stress sometimes we can just hear them crying quietly. And this is what drives us to study and work hard. I"m a father to 3 kids, twin daughters and an adopted son. I can say with absolute honesty that the best memories I have with my kids were made when we were broke. The nights when we'd gather around the table and pull out the board games (usually monopoly) or play a PnP game like Cyberpunk 2020(decades before the 2070 videogame) and play till the sun came up the next day. Only the youngest twin is still with us and she has said the same. The best memories were made on the cheap.

But I understand sometimes we don't have a choice and have to take them to work with us, I mean no you can't leave a child alone under any circumstances at home. But when it comes to it affecting the child's health like it did in the cold wind and air, then it's better to take that great salary he gets and make a plan for a day care or something beter for her health and for them. He gets a great salary, 4 times more than the average person gets here in South Africa, so he really has no excuse.
I was blessed to take my son with me to work, DR'S visits, shopping and I would not go anywhere that he couldn't go to and when he turned 4 yrs. old I put him in school.

I have the greatest respect for this guy. He doesn't allow his situation and his life define him. This guy understands the very essence of life. Happiness is a state of contentment you can't give it to someone and it can't be taken from you. Unfortunately if everyone were like this guy, human civilization never would've progressed. Why invent new things or explore if everyone is content with having a spouse and child, food, and shelter?
Both parents want to do better. They earned 7000 yuan per month and only spend 400 yuan for rent, with just one bed in 100 sq ft room. If that's not an effort to get better in life, I'm not sure what else.

My dad takes me to school in his motorbike ( rain or shine) There were times we get soaked due to heavy rain. He teaches, educated me with a lot of things while I’m riding on his motorbike. After school, I stay in one corner watching him work until it’s time for us to go home. It made me strong, resilient and successful.

Not all men. There’s single dad’s from divorce or widowed. A husband could have been laid off from his job and the wife has to work. My older brother retired from the Navy after twenty years and he was just 45 years old, he stayed home and his wife already had a career in marketing, so my brother was a stay at home dad, took care of their daughter, took her to school, did the grocery shopping, even cleaned the house, I think he was better at cleaning the house than my sister in law was! Lol.. maybe him being in the Navy, he had to see everything clean and organized and he still finds time to go jogging everyday. My cousin is raising three boys he got full custody of, he’s an awesome dad to his kids.

My hat goes off to these parents. They probably didn’t think twice about what to do, it’s as simple as “care for the baby” no matter what that entails, it may not always be ideal but what matters is she was cared for, loved and safe

Reasons why Asian people put much work in their education is because no matter how strict our parents are, we see their struggles. They put a brave face in front of their children but we are not oblivious of their stress sometimes we can just hear them crying quietly. And this is what drives us to study and work hard.

I"m a father to 3 kids, twin daughters and an adopted son. I can say with absolute honesty that the best memories I have with my kids were made when we were broke. The nights when we'd gather around the table and pull out the board games (usually monopoly) or play a PnP game like Cyberpunk 2020(decades before the 2070 videogame) and play till the sun came up the next day. Only the youngest twin is still with us and she has said the same. The best memories were made on the cheap.

Some even don't prefer to have a child so long as they don't want him/her to suffer . Their schools are from morning to late evening. They are given lots of h.w in compare of many developed countries. The parents are expected to raise an efficient working machine.

The fact that the father didn't want to accept any kind of gift or donation except used clothes gives us something to think about. I think the message he wants to say is when you have true love, it fuels you to live a life with dignity and hope.

To be fair, the child is still growing and will outgrow the outfits quick. I don't have any children but if I did I would much rather prefer hand me downs too for my growing child over brand new outfits they can only wear for months at most.
He should have accepted donations even money, the child doesn't have any single toy and that I can't accept. Just for his pride he didn't accept the donations to at least buy his daughter a single toy. It broke my heart when I saw her in the corner without a playmate and at least a toy, but there is none. 😮💨
