It's always nice to get a thorough note describing the issue, and getting spares as well is a bonus.

The good spare definitely helped. Customer did his homework and was ready to pay even if boards were not fixable to compensate for time spent.

Hi. I'm a german guy. I found you on youtube yesterday and I watched your vids for hours in the row. Great stuff, great work, great vids. Thanks for that. Maybe I have a hint for you. If you messure a cap inbetween a circuit, the meter can show a differ value than it should show. Often the shown value is higher then the real one. Remove the cap from the circuit before measure up. Then it is easier for you to find out the right spare spart. Best regards...

If you go one step further, you would find an application schematic in the PCM1808 pdf specification.
This one shows 10 Ohm for a filter resistor in the +5.0V to pin 3. 4R7 will also be fine.
It also shows a 4.5uF/10V in parallel with a smaller value capacitor for the VREF voltage coming out of pin 1.
The pdf states "Recommended capacitors are 0.1-μF ceramic and 10-μF electrolytic"
The same decoupling combination is also present for pin 3 (VCC) and pin 4 (VDD) to pin 5 (GND).
User application schematics are often followed 1:1 by designers, so is a good starting point.

The value of that cap is not important as long as it is not too low. It is a bypass cap for the ADC likely 10uF paired with another smaller likely 0.1uF cap. The speaker should be able to work without that cap. It just wouldn't meet manufacturer specifications. The cap probably measured 16uF because it was in circuit.

Alex I think it was the mode, those chips do the three things, FM radio, Bluetooh and AUX mode so, if last time was left in radio, you will get that sound like airplane, it keeps the last mode because of memory.

The PCM1808 device is a high-performance, low-cost, single-chip, stereo analog-to-digital converter with single-ended analog voltage input. The PCM1808 device uses a delta-sigma modulator with 64-times oversampling and includes a digital decimation filter and high-pass filter that removes the dc component of the input signal.

no need to replace that cap with 16uF, even datasheet recommend 10uF. As that common value probably even original is 10uF but measurement in circuit give you wrong reading.
