I just picked up a 2014 for a thousand dollars that has same issue. Guy was tired of messing with it so I took a risk seeing the cracked lenses that it was going to be a easier fix and worse case I end buying a new cluster. Your video gave me some insight on getting it off and fixing it myself. Thank you.
My son and I pulled the cluster out last night and there wasn’t a little moisture, there was standing water. Soaked it in a bag of rice for 5 hours and it plugged it back in, working perfectly. Ordered a replacement lens cover as the one on it was cracked pretty good. Thanks again for your video,
I have a 2009 summit x wich the cluster looks almost the same just without the orange trimmings, my guages works with no problems but my display has black spots as if the leds behid has burnt you could still see that something on the display is moving but you cant make up what anythi mg says. Do you think newer clusters would fit from like a 2013? Or am i having to go full operation on this
I’m almost positive the 13 and newer won’t work on the rev. Idk, you may look up on the forums like dootalk and see if you can find anything. Gauge maintenance and replacement is hard to find online.
Hey man idk if you’ll see this but. I have a 2014 ski doo summit 800. Kinda the same issue with mine. My gauge only works when I sit there and hold the plug in super tight. But as soon as I let go I lose connection. What do you think the problem is there?
Sounds for sure like a connection issue. Add a small bit of dielectric grease to the terminals and that should clean up the connection. If not, it could be water inside the gauge assembly that is causing the connection to seem to be the issue but once pressure is applied it works. Who knows.
The SeaDoo gauges… you have to cut the board out from the back it’s glued in. Surprised SkiDoo doesn’t do that since snow is frozen water and will turn back into water once inside or it warms up
I agree, I was surprised when it came apart so easy with only a gasket in between the lense and body. The new lense fixed the issue but still, when will it happen again? Idk.
There’s Optical light pipes on the back, mounted In front of the backlight LED’s. If you have any SMD soldering skills it’s easy to replace it with any color you want. Just need to order the LED you want.

Good deal, I figured it would be a more common issue than not. Thanks for watching and I hope the videos continue to help you further Matt.

I didn’t think this video would catch traction, but I’m pumped you and others have found it helpful! Thanks man!
@DanMX2112 thanks again man
I have the same problem with my sled. Lens cracked.
Where did you order your lens from?
Tia.
Seems to be very common, I never thought this would be a big video lol I ordered it online from a skidoo parts site.
Did you have your headlights go out? I have a similar problem, but my display is completely dead, headlights are out and I can’t go in reverse
Sounds like a bigger issue, the display should not affect the headlights and reverse. Sounds like a stator going out.
Where did you buy the cracked plastic part
Skidoo parts nation, google it. Fast shipping too.
@@DanMX2112 thanks
Is that an index finger throttle? I’m not a big thumb throttle fan
Yes and it is amazing! You won’t look back.

Is it possible to change the light color?
Don’t think so, but that would be awesome!
@@DanMX2112 yes it would I been looking for any videos, can’t find anything.

@@josephrossman1600 that’s cool. Is there a video you can make? About doing that?
Im not sure how much of your grandpa's inheritance you gave Skidoo for that sled but I can tell you paid too much.
