I'm still in awe of these magnificent buildings as to how they were built all those years ago.

To have that connection to the church is wonderful.
We are so lucky to have these wonderful places. We are the envy of a lot of other countries, especially America

@@KevinsRambles I know how valuable churches are in our family history journey as I'm on this path myself, something I get stuck into over winter when I can't garden. I'm a member of your Kevin's Rambles FB group but haven't met you yet, maybe one day I will

What a stunning church ⛪️ Kevin and an interesting story of your ancestors. I wish I could go back that far in my family history on my fathers side. One of my cousins has researched my mothers side and the family tree goes back quite a long way, but my dads is a bit of a mystery. What a lot of children he had and my goodness researching their stories would surely take a lifetime. Both Ky and I loved the video, and Rich will watch later. Super interesting, thank you for sharing. That Church deserves it’s title as being one of the best 🥰

@lynnb_and_ky_springer_spaniel Thank you, Lynn, much appreciated 😊.
I have to admit I did mis- read some of my info, sadly.
I was so pleased to go back there.

@lynnb_and_ky_springer_spaniel We are pretty sure from both Williams marriages that he had 14 children.

This is so cool to be able to trace your family back to the exact church they got married in.
I knew there were little clues to something in the dates .
Was it her age , it seemed to me they were married for sbout 30 years .but i may just watch this again and figure out .
    This was really nice kevin.

Sarah Ann Bromley married William Hall, a widower in Banbury, Oxfordshire on 21 June 1847 two months after Ann died. His father was William Hall a labourer and hers was Josiah Bromley a labourer. Both left a mark in the register.

Awesome church. The family history dates are very foxing. We need to know the date of the second marriage - and the number of children from the second marriage kind of pushes the boundaries on that date if I am reading correctly in-between the lines! Things were very different in those days I suppose .... it is amazing to think of the first bride and groom plighting their troth in that huge church. I loved the southern extension with those huge perpendicular clear windows.

The church is amazing, so pleased I went back.
They married 24 June 1847 and had 6 children, we think?
From both of Williams' marriages, he had 14 children.

It is very odd that it would be taller than Dorchester Abbey that would have been the principal Church around there. This will be in an upcoming video.

Lovely church but im now off to research further. What you said was that 2 months after Ann died in 1847 Sarah Ann Hunt was born, but you didn’t say when she married William! Did I misunderstand or did you read it wrongly?

Kerry we have the full details of William Halls marriages and children. It is his parents that we don’t have, a few possibilities but no real proof
