There’s so much misinformation out there about hormones. The misunderstanding of the Women’s Health Initiative findings did massive damage to women’s health. It basically ruined an entire generation of physicians who now buy into the false narrative on the dangers of hormone replacement.
Today I’m doing a review episode all about my book, The Hormone Balance Bible. I wrote the book not for you to read from cover to cover but so that you can look at the relevant sections as you go through certain stages of your life. In The Hormone Balance Bible, I break down the 12 hormonal archetypes and what to do to start the healing journey for each one.
For this episode, I’m talking about how you can start figuring out which archetype you are, the characteristics of each type, symptoms you might be noticing, the kinds of women I see in my practice for each archetype, and more. Enjoy the episode!
    Highlights
    - What I’m sharing today about the Hormone Balance Bible

I will certainly order your book😊. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism while i was in perimenopause- not that i realised that at the time. The gynaecologist told me my hormone levels were low but did not tell me i was in perimenopause. Being over 60, I am now told that I am too old for HRT. It feels as though i have lost the person I was.
Thank you for your comprehensive look at all hormones. Can't wait to read your book to find ways to help myself..

Never too late for hormones. I started estradiol patch and micronized progesterone at 60. The sooner the better.. but never too late for all the bone, mental, anti cancer and inflammatory benefits!😊

There are women that we can’t tolerate progesterone at all unfortunately!
I’m suffering every day for past half year. I’m mostly bed bound at 47 because meds I’m placed on instead getting estrogen replacement therapy.

For anyone considering buying The Hormone Balance Bible by Shawn Tassone, MD, PhD (featured here in the above video), you will be so happy that you did! I just received my Amazon delivery of this book today, and it's packed full of incredibly helpful information as touched on by Dr. Tassone. You will not be disappointed!
As I listen to this video for the second time this evening, I'm thinking about Dr. Tassone's mother who suffered so greatly being refused hormones as an ovarian cancer patient. I won't bore you with my own story as this isn't about me, but I relate to her beyond words. The difference is, I was/am stage one with an "excellent" prognosis". Being denied hormones is horrible and robs a woman of a better quality of life. Fortunately, I wasn't denied the estradiol patch, but they are controlling my dose (I'm stuck with the .025). Frustrates me to no end. I'm low risk, stage 1, it's been removed, so a moderate .05 dose seems reasonable to me. But no. I'm told that if I want to avoid dryness down south, I must insert a tablet twice a week. Ugh, excuse me, but there goes fun and spontaneity in the intimacy department. I'm single and holding out for the right person these days, but the option would be nice. Luckily at 56, I've never experienced a lack of estrogen before until after surgery in April six weeks ago. I was on an estrogen replacement routine prior to surgery. My whole body deserves estrogen, and I will not settle for less than what I deserve.
This ended up being the longest TH-cam comment I've ever written, as I tend to be a very private person. I support Dr. Tassone's effort here and am one of his biggest supporters. We women need to speak up (respectfully and politely) and be heard. How wonderful to have a doctor who understands us and is advocating for us. Thank you, Dr. Tassone. Thank you.

Can you do a video on menopause and SEVERE insomnia? I do NOT get hot flashes (at least yet) and I sleep alone but the 1-2 hours of sleep a night is killing me. Heart races, mind races, I have perfect sleep hygine, been struggling for years, seen countless doctors, tried HRT and gave it 6 weeks and those were the worst 6 weeks ever (and I didn't think it could get worse) progesterone made my eye bounce and my heart race, read that I could be progesterone intolerant. I'm just at my wits end and broke from all the doctor appts I have to pay for that provided no help :(
