Agreed, And out come the wolves, I don't know how many times i've listened to it. But even when I'm just turn it on to hear 1 or 2 specific songs, I end up listening to a couple more, and a couple more. I'll be like, oh I love this song, and this one, and this is, until i've played the whole album !
Hahaha I thought that when I was younger too!! It's funny coz in downtown Seattle there use to be a punk rock bar across the street from the space needle called The Funhouse. They had pinball machines, and even a basketball court fenced in that you could go out and hang out with your beer and smokes, or join in a basketball game. I always wondered if he was referring to that place in this song. I always had a good time at the Funhouse. There's like a mini funhouse bar that is half of the club venue El Corazone in Seattle still, so it's like their kinda around!
I've heard this is about a breakup but the lyrics sound a lot like a junky waiting for a runner in a car while withdrawing. It's seriously uncanny. Wonder if that was deliberate considering historically song lyrics have often used love as a metaphor for drugs and vice versa. And the fact that Lars was a heroin addict as well as Tim's struggles with meph.
Dean WinchesterTM it’s a beautiful city I love it here it has rural stretches, a city vibe, and suburban areas too. It’s the full package. The fucking homeless people are what’s ruining the town
@@Nwordscissorhands1738 oly used to have hippies and crust punks for homeless and it was magical. Now we have junkies and sex offenders with a few good eggs stuck in the mix…
Yep, Johnny's got the gist. They played a show at the first Yo-Yo-A-Go-Go festival in Olympia right after Let's Go came out and had a great time, awesome show. It was a total indie rock lovefest. I've got some High-8 video of that show floating around somewhere.
That bass line... Matt Freeman is awesome.
Best Rancid song ever.
Best album all way through!

Molly Tuttle duz a bad ass cover of this song that would make Tim proud. Check her out.
I agree. It also shows that the song itself is excellent, and it doesn't depend on the punk presentation to be listenable...
Thanks for the tip, I've only watched the Operation Ivy covers by Molly and they're awesome.
Nice song
Righteoussss

Just...grit.
if i had never read the lyrics i would never understand what the hell tim is singing
cha cha, same for me :D
Hahaha love this song, Tim sings like he’s eating a hot dog that’s too hot
Thats my favorite thing about tim haha. I love the mumble
It´s about his break up with Brody Dalle
Sounds like Shane MacGowan at times (The Pogues), when he's been drinking ;-)
Apparently it's making fun of a member (I can't remember which) of Bikini Kill, saying she's whiny
Ace McGilicuddy
I don't think so. Infact, I'm pretty sure this song is a shoutout to the Olympia scene!!!
Ace McGilicuddy
Atleast, that's what I always thought it was about...

What does a lonely pinball machine mean?
PODMTHC Probably means that its in a room on its own, and looks a bit lonely!
lone pinball amongst video games
It was recently divorced and afraid to get back on the dating scene
hmm
Good music.. Singer is horrible though
