I have had avant 314 for 15 years now, helps much working in confined spaces. For bigger jobs a decent 10 ton wheel loader and excavator. There are limits for these green vehicles.

bucket teeth will help with digging into a pile and loading more into the bucket as you can losen the dirt into the pile more and then scoup up dirt a bit easier.

Put the wheel weights at least on back wheels. Each wheel weight is 14kg. Adds stability and lifting capacity.

Good idea, might try that - thanks Matti

We have a 220, I’ve put about 200kg of tractor weights behind it and it will lift 500kg quite happily now. Will manage slightly more but starts to tip forward a bit too much for my liking! Also we have the genuine avant bucket but slightly different to yours and have no issues getting a good load in it.

Somebody else suggested the weights - I might just do it. Are they supplied as an Avant extra, or just something you rigged up yourself? BTW (re: drone guy) check out my drone stuck in tree video... it's a classic! 😀😀😀

@@AlexBuildsUK their roughly 30kg each front end tractor weights. I made a simple bracket that bolts to the tow hitch bracket out of a huge bit of angle iron. They all just hook right over it. Way more stable completely transforms the machine! Will check out the drone video haha😂

I might try it! Cheers for that 😀

Hello. I´ve got a Avant 220 ( 2006 model) and a Avant 750 for my landscaping company. With practice with can fill full buckets of dirt, but it should curl more. If you go down a slope it tends to spill some of it. The 750 curls alot more.
As someone mentioned, add weights to the wheels. It really helps. Do you have weights in the back near the towing ball? Mine does.
About the wheel lifting, it gets abit on the nerves, but all avants are very stable machines and are meant to work like that

Hi Joao. Yes I do agree, the wheel lift is part of the design. I do think it's a great bit of kit having had a few weeks to get used to it. If anything the bucket tilt issue (I did another video on that) is more annoying - but as I said, still very pleased with it!

These wee Avants don't have any axle articulation so go over uneven terrain like this and you'll get a wheel off the ground even when not carrying any weight on the loader. I think you'll feel like you're lifting a good bit before it is actually lifting off the ground. It will go light first which will enable it to bounce a lot more as if the rear tyres are overinflated, but it isn't actually at it's limit. I work with a tractor with a front loader. I have backed out of stuff when it has went light before (facing down hill with a large silage bale on the loader without any rear weights due to needing to drive over weight limited slats) but now I don't believe the tyres actually left the ground. I've bounced driving through a rough yard and lifted 1 rear wheel briefly once, it still returned to all 4 tyres on the ground again, but you soon know when a tyre is/was actually off the ground (weight related).
You'll probably have a lot more experience with it by now, but if not sure still, if you have time you could add weight gradually with the loader out in front above the ground by a few inches to find out when it actually wants to tip forward. I don't see why Avant would suggest a safe weight far above what is possible in the real world for some pallet forks, taking the forks' weight into account. Facing downhill with the weight as far out in front as possible, yeah, it will tip at a lower weight, but besides that I think you should be able to get a lot closer to 350kg even on terrain like this, although getting used to how that feels will take longer to adapt to. I'm still not used to how far our 390T can go after years of, although admittedly infrequent, loader work.

Yes I agree - it's a machine designed for lighter / more repetitive jobs, and does a great job at that. If you want to be carting 500 to 1000kg pallets or bulk bags around, you need a bigger machine...

Nice vid, I'm considering an Avant 423-630 range to help my sub-compact tractor on the farm. These have amazing pressure washer attachments that I want for washing my chicken barn. But I'm def going to wince at the prices I get quoted...

Actually the Avant was recommended to me by a farmer, they're very popular on farms. As for pressure washers check out my Karcher K5 video ;) Good luck with the 423...

if this was a normal tractor it would have tipped over do to having high center of gravity. Like that these stay upright on uneven ground with load on then.
