September already, would you believe it?Just a few more weeks and it is all over again for another year. That’s why I love spring so much. I am a spring person.Everything is so optimistic in springtime.

Bald ist ja Weisswurstzeit und ich freu mich schon drauf. Als Halbbayer auch kein Wunder. Dieses Jahr werde ich's wohl nicht mehr zum Lough Arrow schaffen, aber die naechste saison sollten wir mal im Auge behalten. In dem Sinne viele Gruesse aus Donegal und alles Gute.
I prefer spring time too. But planting a few apple trees there is always autumn to look out for...
That's right. Have a few apple trees in the garden too and they are the very best, compared to the stuff you get in the supermarkets. So, lets enjoy the autum, it's part of our lifes too. All the best.

I never have anything other than a Sooty Olive on the tail - most reliable fly. Hope we get another few videos before season end. Keep up the good work.

I do not have a Sooty Olive but I will get to work on tying one soon, the end of the season where I live is still a month away at the end of October . Well done Dietrich once the trout season ends it's time for Pike ! I think I am going to fish for Perch this fall they are tasty and a bit larger this time of year. Great video my friend.
Thank you, Jim. Having a Sooty Olive is not a bad idea, particularly in April, well, that's what I think. Fishing for perch sounds good and perch fillet fried in butter is really very tasty. Have a good time and tight lines.

Fished that first lake last week , nothing but small fish , heard rumours that it was netted in the past , but who knows
That lake used to be one of the very best in the region, however, after the windmills were put up in the late 90s it all changed and it was more or less empty for many years and is only now coming back a little bit. Thank you for watching Ciaran and have a good time.

where do you buy your fishing flies
They are all tied by myself or my fishing friends.
I don't think I've ever seen you change out the bibio?! Do you ever use nymphs? Do you just find that traditional wet flies work so well etc?
Had no Bibio with me, forgot to put one into my fly box and was too lazy to change the cast the next day. I use nymphs in rivers alright, Peter, however, lake fishing and traditional wet flies go together, for me anyway. Thank you for watching and all the best.
