1. An expanded roster (it could work, if done right)
2. A great story that could help make the game “believable” and open to “potential sequels”.

I should’ve specified, in some ways besides raw power his actions have shown that he is beyond that of a generic villain (same as Shao) even going as far as to killing his own parents and one of his sons, I don’t follow the comics much but I’m sure he’s done worse than this.

Darkseid doesnt say much interesting. just "I will vaporize you, kneel, you should fear me" in twenty different ways. Shao khan has a more grounded approach that seems more intimidating to me, he actually says things relevant to who he is fighting.

it is true that most of the Darkseids we've see on our reality are only his avatars but that doesn't mean that on occasions the true Darkseid hasn't been beaten. If a fight between the two were to happen in our realm it would be interesting, but if lets say Darkseid were to lure Khan into the fourth dimension it wouldn't be a contest.

Otherwise, IMO it wouldn't even be fair. My reasoning is this: the gods in the MKU vs the gods in the DCU are far weaker. Using humans as base measurement, MKUs gods can be beaten by humans with martial arts, or cybernetic implants. The standard for beating the DCU gods is much higher, you'd have be super

Not sure. Darkseid and the New Gods came to be after Ragnarok happened. In canon that was like 250K years ago in the DC universe. As a self aware idea he's technically existed for as long as his idea has. Darkseid is the very idea of Evil itself. He is the hole in all things. The miserable feeling Bruce Wayne has? The hole in his life which he describes the death of his parents? That is Darkseid.
Shao Kahns age is never mentioned but he has at least 10K years as ruler of Outworld.

The more I listen the more I realize how implacable Darkseid is. This makes him more intimidating (to me anyway) than Shao Khan, who has a much more obvious inferiority complex.
