    I was just reminded of one year ago and the first time I commented on your channel. I used to sit and watch reviews to ease my waiting time as the delivery of my Honda ATAS ES DCT MY22 was scheduled for Jun 2022. I’ve put 13.500km on mine so far - best bike ever IMO. Just like you - bought it without testing it at all. I tested BMW GSA, KTM SAR and SAS, Ducati Multistrada V4S, Harley PanAm, and one day I just went to my Honda dealer and put a deposit for this beast. I’m yet to watch the entire video, but I believe it’s gonna be the same experience/thoughts I have on this bike. Can’t wait for the snow to melt here.

      We are too much a like indeed Mike! That waiting period was just too long!! But how good is it!! Yeah I still get a massive smile when I walk into the garage, move her out and go for a blast! I bet you're hanging out to get back on the road mate!! Great to hear from you!!

    Great vid Bret! I had the 2016 AT, DCT, thinking I wanted to do more off road riding, but I noticed I wasn’t so I traded it in for a 2017 VFR 1200X DCT, much more to my liking as I prefer to ride @ 85mph on asphalt. The V4 is an awesome engine, and I found the 16AT motor, lacking in power. I traded in the VFR for my 2018 Goldwing DCT, non tour which was the plan all along. After being off a bike for 33 years, I found out that I prefer touring and a little higher speeds. But recently, I’ve started to re-visit the Africa Twin, touring model, because I do want to go off road on occasion and do some exploring. As a kid, I grew up riding dirt bikes since 12 yrs old. I guess my inner child is calling again. Subscribed, Ride safe…

      @ADVBrett  ปีที่แล้ว

      Massive thanks for the Sub!! I've found this beast to be such a great long distance traveller! She's very comfortable!! And the opportunity to still be able to comfortably go off road is just awesome. I think you'll love the new Twin!

    those fork seals are super easy to fix. only need one specialty tool, fork sear driver. With minimal mechanical skills, or a friend who has mechanical skills and a couple hours that seal is fixed for less than 50 bucks. You should change it and get clean oil in it after 10k anyways. Get out all the metal and plastic shavings from breaking in the forks. They will work so much better with fresh oil.

Probably the best mid size proper off roader! Tall at 880mm seat! A little small for me, could do with more power! V storm 1050de 2023, heavy, tall 880mm non adjustable seat! Bloody good bike, very smooth engine from low down and it pulls hard! Definitely worth thinking about! Suspension a tad hard! ATAS es, great looking bike! BIG, heavy! Think about that for a moment....too much heat coming off the rear cylinder cooked my right leg! I didn't want to test the bmw range as I simply can't afford one! It looks like you don’t have the electronic suspension, but did you end up with tubeless tires? I’m in Canada and it seems that if you go with the adventure sports edition all the dealers only have fully loaded adventure sport models in stock with the electronic suspension.

      Yeah it's something I'm 50/50 about, sometimes I wish I went to the electronic suspension but I don't miss it. I've got tubeless tires but after the recent leak I'm seriously considering a tube in the front.

      @@ADVBrett I will have to go and talk to our local dealer to see what he can bring in. I don’t really want the electronic suspension due to long term maintenance or electronic problems but would like the tubeless tires as they are much easier to fix on the road for typical tire damage.

      @@terrystratford1235 I had to Google what the Acronym RAC means! I’m in Canada. It looks like Royal Automobile Club.. thinking like our CAA. Help is only a phone call away, hopefully😥I did end up buying a 2023 Africa Twin Adventure Sports and as mentioned here in Canada it only comes loaded up with the electronic suspension. Enjoying the AT, it took a few days to get used to the way it carry’s its weight a bit higher up and moving it around by hand. But now I don’t notice it much. Once you are rolling you don’t notice the weight at all. Probably going to take a while yet to get it figured out. Amazed by how short of turning circle it has with the longer wheelbase and the ease of balancing and slow speed manoeuvring. And the electronic suspension is nice, I like it much more than I expected. I was on some washboard gravel roads a couple of days ago and set it to soft and it more or less floats along over it and somewhat adjusts to changes as you go. Still figuring out all the electronics but it is coming together. Safe Rides
