the way Noctis is in the water. . it feels like the "DIVER- Naruto shippuden opening" is playing in the background.
I thought the same thing. Diver was probably the best opening in Naruto, or atleast one of the best openings.

So I finished Type-zero last week (kinda) and I just watched Kingsglaive and all of brotherhood again. The game JUST finished installing and it's currently sitting at the title screen. I know you may not care but I don't know if I've never been more excited for something in my life.

Mat Kishimoto confirmed in an interview that Platinum Demo takes place when Noctis passes out as a kid. You're right.
I like how Noctis doesn't blame Regis. The anime trope in which the main character blames the person who saved him/her on the loss of a relative is really fucking stupid.
He kinda went full Sasuke at the start though. I know that some people don't like the Noctis/Sasuke comparison, but he did lose his cool and acted impulsively when he finally got his shot at revenge. That's a defining character trait of Sasuke. At least they toned down the red eyes thing with Noctis.
I think its so awesome how this anime is building up to the game. I kinda wish they did this for the Witcher 3 or for Bloodborne.

Probably the best episode, a true redemption for the character Noct,and finally Square is letting the fan base feel real emotion, not this plushy toy romance crap. Relatable characters are back and I couldn't be more excited.

The music that was playing during the second phase of the daemon battle was fucking incredible. I do hope we get to hear that in-game.

so going off this it looks like at this point (around chapter 8):
Noct's sword is the "Blood Sword" which you can't get at this point in the game unless you went to the Crestholm Channels. This means any side quests that take you there are canon to the story. Most likely the hunt and the side-quest from Cindey to get the headlights for the Regalia.
I'm pretty sure everything that happens in FFXV is canon

So after Vishnu Medusa died, when Noctis cries after that flashback of his father, do you think he just somehow knows of what transpired during the events of Kingsglaive?
I think this is after learning about the attack in Insomnia and the death of his father. He didnt exactly have time to grieve properly, poor guy.

This is somewhat undermined by the amount of times you hear "Noct!"
I've never seen Ignis using anything other than daggers and spear. Especially a greatsword.

Isn't it standard procedure for a motorcade, especially a royal one, to gun it if an attack occurs? They should never have stopped. Poor writing there.
But that was a pretty fun cathartic fght scene for Noctis. I was afraid he was gonna be another Squall, but he already has more depth, let's just hope it's still reflected in the actual game.
I do not see the creators of this anime really wanting this anime to be good...let's say they did the most basic work...
The anime series is just to add more of a connection between the player and the protagonist before you play the game kind of like a promotion of sorts.
I understand what the anime does for the game, but would it not be better to experience all of those moments in the game itself? would that make the game more worth playing?
If i'm not mistaken i believe that square wants players to dive into the game straight away without any background cinematics or story in the beginning that's why all the episodes up until now have been flash backs and the growth and bonds each character has to Noct.
I'm not sure if this was a reply to me, but I'd just like to say feel I'd be way more invested into the game itself because that's the original format that the story is intended to be told in ( though any good story can be told in multiple mediums I suppose). I feel the purpose of this is kinda conflicting. Here's an example: Let's say I liked Final Fantasy VII and my favorite most interesting story was Red XIII or Nanaki - I can go to the game and play the part where I visit Nanaki's origin and uncover parts of his (her?) past. The same goes for Cid Highwind and his dreams of wanting to go to space, and Barret for revisiting his old friend Dyne (That one was most tough to handle). All of those moments are in the game for me to enjoy and revisit. Each character has their moments to shine, that's what makes games like this, Metal Gear Solid, Heavenly Sword, Halo, Bioshock [etc.]so memorable and worth going back to playing. And a game doesn't HAVE to give us that kind of exposition, I think that's basic storytelling 101. Leave enough breadcrumbs for the players - get them interested, give em enough reason to progress forward into the game and uncover more of the story. I can understand Square needs to do something different for their series, but after the experience, if there's little introduction to the world, I may not feel the characters get their moments. The game may still be worth playing, just not for the same reasons Final Fantasy - or a few other games - are worth playing for.

Sasuke in final fantasy,now thats awesome but before anyone replies you cant deny that noctis looks like sasuke the only thing missing is the sharingan i mean they even have similar goals.Noctis wants to avenge his family & Kingdom while sasuke wants to avenge his family & clan love it or hate it you cant deny the similarities between the two.
Eh, I don't find so. he's not Sasuke he may look like him but he's not. This Sasuke in FF15 jokes need to stop it's pissing me off and it's annoying as all hell.
And also I don't see him betraying his friends to fight for the enemy or him having ninjitsu.

so is marilith an archaean? im guessing she is the medusa lady next to ultros in the genesis painting at the end of duscae demo. does that mean noct will be able to summon her since you have to defeat them in order to summon them.

Does noctis need his sword to teleport? Also is it an actual teleport cuz it seems more and more like the blink ability from dishonored.
he can do some short blinks without the weapons i think
So it's like the blink ability from dishonored(where you can still get hit). Not an actual teleportation.
It is teleportation because its instant. Howerer somehow he need to use the weapons to channel where he will be teleported, like in Kinglaive, not sure if he can still teleport at short range without them.
he can, he's using it to dodge in this episode while in armiger mode.
So basically it's teleportation when he throws his sword but when he isn't he's just moving very fast?
To experince final fantasy 15 all the way through you need to watch everything that was put out for it including the movie and the spinoff series

If FFXV is the Stardust Crusaders of Final Fantasy, then their swords are their stands.
Cars full of guards to protect royal family. One car is destroyed. All the cars stop to see what's going on and royal family gets out of car. This royal family has the survival instincts of a rabbit jumping in to a wood chipper.

The only thing I don’t care for is the mindless beast portrayal. Mariliths, according to their dossier, are highly intelligent and would know when to negotiate for surrender.

Fr I would have enjoyed this episode a lot more if we were getting this game this month
I'm perfectly fine with them delaying the game till November. Give them a chance to get more bugs and glitches out of the game before it officially releases. Also, lets be honest having them working on the game so there isn't a Day 1 patch is a pretty good excuse because nobody likes downloading Day 1 patches just when you get the game.
