I saw on your video you have a ladder with orange fall protection handles. What ladder do you have? Will those handle extensions work on a little giant?

The ladder is a little giant extreme.

You did not indicate what you set the multimeter on to test the capacitor

Check in the comments. I believe it’s mentioned in there.

Thanks for the video. My AC stopped pushing cold air, the fan works well but no cold air. Will it probably be the capacitor?

Invest in an inexpensive multi meter. It’s easy to test the capacitor. Your issue hopefully is the capacitor but it could also be low or no coolant.

@@ourroadtocamelot Yes, I do have a good multimeter and I did the test and it appears that the capacitor is faulty and I've ordered one already; let's see!! The fan is working well, so I hope the new capacitor will get the compressor going!! Thanks for your reply

@@ourroadtocamelot I changed the 3 capacitors but still the compressor fails to work ( it tries to spin but it stops after a few seconds). The fan works great. What is next for me to do? How can I test the compressor itself? Thanks

Wondering if mine went out. AC worked great yesterday and today as its 98 degrees turned on and humming and sounds like it wants to turn in but can won’t kick in and it just kind of bogs and trys. Very old system. I’m thinking try s capacitor first I guess it could be the fan motor too maybe. Did a visual inspection and nothing fryed or anything

Test the capacitor but it does sounds like it could be the motor

@@ourroadtocamelot I got it going by giving the fan a push Its in limp
Mode though. Very low power and now the system is freezing I think because of the low fan So I guess the fan is shot out of the clear blue sky. Worked great 2 days ago.

@@mick5740 that sounds exactly like the problem we had last year with our other AC. Wound up it was the motor. I had it done but I watched the repair. If your handy it’s an easy fix.

I think thats whats wrong with our too. I oiled the bearings and it worked for about two days then it seized up. I can spin the blower fan fine when it is not turned on, but when i turn it on the blower locks up.

That happened last summer with our other air conditioner. It wound up being the motor. Got it replaced and it’s worked perfect ever since

What do you have your meter set to? I assume DC volts?

Sorry my mistake…. Had it set to ohms. You can see the setting at 1:52 into the video.

Knowing what to set the meter to is helpful. Thanks for the comment
