Ohio Camping Adventure.. And Children of the Corn!
We had a number of outings we planned for northern Ohio and due to reservation issues we stayed in a number of different campgrounds as well. We originally were going to be staying in two different Harvest Hosts but after discovering our solar is still not working properly we booked into the Hidden Lakes Family Campground for one night. We didn’t shoot any video there in case you were wondering… Good news is I think we finally found out the last puzzle piece to fixing the Solar but you will have to wait a month or two from now to see what that was. As of this video, we are still a couple of weeks away from testing it at another Harvest Hosts. AND, NO, Future Solutions never got back to us on doing solar upgrades for us. We will be researching other companies in the months to come and who knows… maybe this is something I can tackle myself… video to follow…
We are able to check out another harvest Hosts, Thousand Trails, Coast to Coast and RPI campground all within this one video.
I hope you enjoy this part of our adventure…
Safe Travels!

If you are a musician you may have already bought something from this company but you need to come to this amazing music store. So much fun! It is on the edge of Fort Wayne Indiana and about 50 miles from Shipshewana. Well worth the trip! I've been driving rams with the cummins for 30 years and I'm done with them. The cummins is already very expensive to operate and maintain. With the cost of fuel averaging between .35 and as much as a dollar more than regular, oil changes and fuel filters average over $300 and then all the added fun with DEF, regen issues and clogged DPF's I'm over it. Getting rid of my 2022 with only 22K on her and switching back to gas. She's currently in the shop for yet another go at the DPF.

Manual regens, EGR cleaning, new air filters, oil, additives, etc, nothing works. All the dealer say is let’s replace the DPF and pray ($3,500). There’s something fundamentally wrong with this system which dodge doesn’t want to talk about

Thank you for your wonderful video. This is for you or anybody else using these products, be very clear in what additive you have, and which tank it goes into. The maintenance additive goes in the DEF Tank itself, but thank you for introducing me to this one that goes in the DIESEL tank. Boy can a mistake there be a costly mix up.

    • @AirRyanTX

One product is for the DPF and one is for the DEF system. It helps if you're familiar with it all (DPF/DEF/SCR, etc.) but even if you're not quite so, just know that the DEF system cleaner comes in a BLUE bottle with a smaller head on it, as most DEF tanks have a blue cap on it. The DPF cleaner comes in a black bottle. Always read the instructions before you use. I also always use a good diesel additive at every fill. I like HSS EDT because I can use just 2oz of product per 24g that I fill, and get a performance dose. Some additives work better than others, and some do more than others, do do your research, as well.

Good video, enjoyed! The first time I went to Moab was 1985. (on the way to an 8 day river trip in the Grand Canyon). Pizza Hut was their first "fast food" restaurant and had only been there 3 months or so. By 1988 they had a McDonalds. It was a small town, little eating joints, one was real popular, don't remember the name. Only a couple hotels of any size. Camped free along the Colorado River or stayed at Best Western. Was there a couple more times but don't really remember much, get up early go to Arches or Canyonlands to photo or film the sunrise, hike, sleep, repeat, ect. In Dec 2000 I took my parents there. There was an unusual dusting of snow. We stayed at Super 8 and ate at Denny's which was my dads favorite, he loved the Grand Slam breakfast served all day. I'm sure I ate at nicer spots but don't remember. LOL Funny what we remember and what we don't. Didn't really spend much time in the town. Guess I need to go back, though I hated the waterslide monstrocity sp? at the edge of town. Oh they did have a Dairy Cream it seems like but don't remember eating there. Maybe Pizza Hut was their 2nd fast food place. Maybe I'll plan a trip.

The trail is always super busy and easy to navigate so you're not going to get lost. There are parts where you are walking exposed rock face so you could slip and hurt yourself but you're not walking on the side of a mountain either. Now all being said it gets incredibly hot here in the summer. If you're not prepared with sunscreen, adequate water, proper footwear and some snacks this hike would be miserable. I wouldn't recommend doing it the middle of the day either, too damn hot, get out there early or wait.

Thanks for the video. Those look like neat places to visit. Hey, Dawn I like the wig, it makes you look longer.

Had to be dozens. It was near impossible to get a shot with out people and cars. I cleared them out in my photos with some Photoshop magic

We've done this and it's awesome! Bring water because that's all you can take on the tour and you'll need it! Enjoy and God bless!

It was fun. Unfortunately my wife would have never made it. She’d never get past the ladder

It was great meeting you two at Christmas Mountain last week. Hope you get your service work completed to your satisfaction. Enjoy to NE. We’re heading in the opposite direction but hope to see you down the road. Randy and Mary.
