"Or a big thank you to the prairie dog gods", I lost it
Lol
Gandalf the Tsaagan i cant even! Prairie dog god!
Never knew National Geographic had a taste of humor.
Why would it be inconceivable that they would have a deity? They have language and intelligence. Check out PD language studies at U. Arizona.
Prairie dogs are one of the most adorable animals I have ever seen in my lifetime, and they are one of my most favorite species of rodents not only in North America but in the entire world.
even more than Capybaras?
theyre basically like mini capybaras lol@@TommyVarekai
Marmots>Prairie Dogs
Also, the way the prairie dogs were joyfully jumping up is my favorite scene of this video.
at 0:40 that prairie dog was getting ready for a fist bump
He was hoping the other prairie dog would go scissors.
A SACRIFICE WAS EFFICIENT ENOUGH TO SAVE US ALL. THANK YOU PRAIRIE GODS
And then the prophecy was fulfilled, Big Ounce was born, no foxes would ever harm the praire dogs again, in fear of the retribution of Big Ounce.
Prairie Dog: **sounds alarm**
someone gets killed
Prairie Dog: well, thats sad... PRAISE THE SUN!
bruhhhj
RIP Big Ounce
Big ounce could beat up a fox no problem
Perhaps it's a roll call like
"I'M OKAY, I MADE IT"
Interesting.
Adorable little creatures
Look! It's Big Ounce before he's famous!
They're clearly shouting "PRAISE THE SUN!!!"
VigilantAssassin
For some reason, the prairie dogs in North America remind me very much of meerkats in Africa since they have a few similarities.
This is the cutest EAS I have ever seen
Big ounce
Alan! Al! Alan! I hope you seen the video where a prairie dog shouts that 😂😂😂
You mean a big scally critter in a plane?
ITS WILD BIG OUNCES
More like cursing out that damn fox!
Christøpher Willett 😂
You... darn... dirty... fox...Ya...don't come back....we...don't...need...you
The time bigouce actually dies
NOO BIG OUNCE
that prarie dog god dance at the end was epic
But they are so cute tho
Singing “let the sunshine!… let the sunshine!.. shine in!”
Look at the standing dog at 1:13 waving his paw away from him and down like Curly. You can almost hear the "Mmmmm!"
"Test on alarm calls" ain't that the dumbest thin I've heard 😂😂
How so? Makes perfect sense. Do you think sports teams are dumb for having extended practice the day after a bad loss?
Seems more like a roll call behavior
I don't even know why aren't in the show, and they call themselves wildlife expert pfft.
Big ounce's cousins caught in the wild
I don't know if anyone else has said this but I thought the fox said "Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!"
Rare Footage of Big Ounce's Family
Замечательно!!! Лайк.
1:20 Prairie dog on the right built like Theodore
the jump-yip is a sign they feel happy.
I feel sad for the prairie dog that died but that fox was a Mom and needed to bring food to her children as well :( Mother Nature is somehow rather cruel
It really seems to be. I think it's deft how the narrator made light of their celebratory call. Yes, that is their cry of happiness, rather, they were celebrating the vacancy of the predator.
It is the order of things. And it is necessary. Try not to look at it in that way. Just be glad we are at the top of the food chain. Or are we?
@@jodiebagwell2639we’re not. All human made constructs.
Somehow rather
BIG OUNCE
I saw the words prairie dog and EAS in the same title and clicked on this safe to say I was not disappointed
Good observers .
Prairie dogs are actually one of the quintessential components of the prairie. Without it, they tend to die off, as seen in America as they were trying to hunt them to extinction as "vermin".
Here is what they are saying:
A Prairie Dog System has issued a
Kitfox Warning
for: This group of burrows
Big ounce would destroy these foxs
"oh look, the fox decapitated our youngster, let's take a look at his action and celebrate afterwards".
National Prairie Dog Services
has issued
A FOX DANGER WARNING
Or a "ginger alert" = the prairie dog equivalent, to an "amber alert"!!
Maybe they are expressing grief.
WILSOOOOOON!
savage
I thought Otters were my fav animals, guess I was wrong. Otters still cute tho.
Fox: kills youngling
Anakin: 😏
🙏
They sound like they belong in Rain World and it's wacky creatures
Reasonably early
lol
Roll call / attendance
I was on my way to drop my bro off and we seen a couple of Pierre dogs chasing and playing around each other
Anyone who’s here from McNasty mentioning their jump-yip’s
The fox is cute as well
Narrator: "Is it this? Is it that? We don't know but it could be this? Yeah, let's go with that because we're insecure humans who cant stand not knowing."
Last time, there weren't this much comments (it's a joke, get it?)
Big ounce and plappa?
crying because that was sad 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I have a prairie dog.
You may need therapy if this video made you cry.

+Johnny Hab I'm asking you are you for real. Anyway, it was a silly comment because you're obviously joking when you asked what the animals are.
This has to be the worst click bait title I've ever seen. Not a great example of an emergency signal
Slug cat
Do they have an alarm for my gun?
The Europeans came shelter other than Mildred or driven of
