The Modern Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries series just shown in Australia, with a character named Peregrine Fisher. It will be worth watching to see if it catches on with the same fan enthusiasm. The actress (Essie Davis) who played Phryne was outstanding. There would have been a 4th & 5th series had she not gone on to other TV works.

I adore this series!!! I see the french translated version in Quebec. But I love to hear these incredible accents. Fantastic cast, great costumes, creation of atmosphere just too good. Magnifique!! :)
Never having seen the series . Nor having read these where selected best scenes . I was so much involved with her fabulous wardrobe . Merit an Oscar. just realised this was lacking in a scenario!

Her sayonara is far more definite than just so long for now. But Farwell for a very long time , if it is to be that way . But they cannot stay away from each other.
I just cannot imagine someone watching the whole series just to say it is terrific. It is not a movie but the series. So you can watch one episode and say it is not good. But to watch all the series and say it is terrific. Omg

Oh the beginning when Jack thought Phryne was dead! You can see how hurt he is. Poor Jack! Such a shock when suddenly Phryne stands in front of him.

I just love how sometimes Jack doesn't say a thing but the expression tells the story on his behalf. That's what I call a great acting.
