And what a great way to explain for all the viewers to learn this. My preferred version was the one of Dave Grusin but now, I am not sure anymore (didn't knew the one of Chet Baker). Christian don't know why but I missed this beautiful tutorial first time through. You play the song so well with wonderful emotion in your playing. Magnificent! Yes Chet Baker is THE best version but I feel this comes a close second with beautifully, expressive final arpeggios. Thankyou for posting. I shall endeavour to execute my playing with such feeling. Thank you for another wonderful lesson. I'm so happy you mentioned Chet Baker. Too many people don't know his music. Someone once wrote that Chet could say more with one note than most people can in an entire song. Gerry Mulligan deprived us of a lot of beautiful music when he introduced Chet to heroin. Such a great talent gone much too soon!
I horn player I play with went up to him after a gig. "Can you maybe give me a lessonߧ Chet replied " Sure, If you could get me some weed!" So he had his lesson with Chet...
