Darren and Morissette were both in a singing contest in the Philippines(The Voice Philippines) and they have the same Mentor...Sarah Geronimo a very famous Pop Star here in the Philippines... If you have time to check her out as well, it would be greatly appreciated...😁😁

Yup, they were handpicked by Disney to sing Alladin's OST for Philippine version during the time when the movie was shown here. Morissette even had the chance to meet and interview Genie himself Will Smith and no less than the composer of the song Alan Menken and had the opportunity to sing the song in front of these legends. It would be nice for you watch Darren's older performances on the wish bus, back when he was still young, he is such an amazing vocalist also. Chandelier and Fantasia's I believe are great performances of him.
Everyone has mentioned Darren when he did Chandelier, Morissette and Darren performed Chandelier together at the Wish Awards a few years back. Don't forget to check out Morissette's live performances at Asia's Song Festival (in Korea) 2017 & 2018. 2 songs each performance.

You have to listen to him (Darren Espanto) sing “I Believe”. It’s so so good. You won’t be disappointed.
He's actually still young. Just 19, I think. He was a child singer, a constant in "The Voice Kids - Philippines S1".
Morissette on the other hand, was a contestant in "The Voice (adults) Philippines S1". They have the same mentor - Sarah Geronimo, a famous popstar in the Philippines.

I was there, it's truly magical I'm not even a fan of Disney but that song is beautiful. Btw you want to know the story behind this performance? Disney management officially choose morissette and Darren to sing this song for the movie. They request to mori and Darren to follow the original flow of the song to stay magical. And guess what? For me that's the best rendition or cover of this song. Just blame me if I'm wrong.
I believe it was these two that really pushed the trend of great live performances on the Wish Bus. Definitely check out both of their work. Darren and Morisette were actually finalists on different seasons of the Voice Philippines. Two of the most promising singers from the Philippines!

When Darren was featured covering Sia's "Chandelier" back in his preteen years, that blew my mind. He sang that song higher than most (if not all) vocalists I've seen who covered it. Check it out if you wanted to be astonished.

Darren is Filipino-Canadian and born in Canada. Back in 2013 he was on a Canadian singing show called the Next Star where he killed it and later moved to the Philippines and stared in The Voice.
I would totally recommend his covers of Chandelier and I Believe that really display how vocally talented he is

Oh guys, I always love your reactions everytime you reacts to Morissette. You should have seen your face, you were both awed by the vastness of her voice. Ladies and Gentlemen, what you have just witnessed based by the looks from their faces, their having a series of what you called an "EARGASM". Yeah, this is what usually happens to uhmm.. I don't know.. to Everyone everytime they listens to our "Asia's Phoenix", "The Slay Queen", "The Philippines' Pride" and our one and only Morissette Amon. What happened is you don't just listen to her, you experience and live Morissette Amon. Its as if you're sitting down, listening to her while she sings and then unexpectedly Boom💣 right in the face. You didn't see it coming and all of a sudden, she rocks your world upside down over and over. She hits you at the back of your soul. She lefts you stranded with an overwhelmed of speechless emotions. Be careful though once you've entered into her world there is no turning back. You'd be addictive to her, mesmerize by her, enchanted by her, lost by her. The irony is in the end there is no end because you'll end up with wanting more and more of her and you can't just never get enough.
Darren Espanto grew up in canada if I remember it right and he has experiences of performing as a kid. He he became more known in the Philippines when he joined The Voice Kids Season 1 and blown everybody not only with his singing skills but he's performing skills. He's tagged as the ultimate perfomer kid.

I probably watched that performance 200 times by now lol, i even watched this reaction twice in a row. Baby Darren was so good too, his most famous vid is probably him singing Fantasia's I Believe on the Wish Bus (lol this bus is so famous now). I liked his Despacito cover too. So. Quick fact: the original singing voice of Jasmine is Lea Salonga--a Filipina. She's a legend in the musical theathre industry (as the heroine for Miss Saigon and as Eponine), and she was the singing voice for 2 Disney Princesses (Jasmine and Mulan). She's also a legend in the Philippines. She's definitely one of the biggest names here.
Now, both Darren and Morisette were once contestants on separate seasons for The Voice. Darren was the 1st runner up for The Voice Kids 2014 (yep, he was very very young that time and he had a crazy high range, he could sing Chandelier on Wish Bus and nail it effortlessly). Morisette, on the other hand, was a semi-finalist on The Voice 2013.
Now, Lea Salonga was a resident judge/coach for both seasons. Although both Darren and Mori were under a different coach (their coach was the powerhouse pop princess Sarah G.), Lea definitely loved them as well. When the promoters called, she picked Darren and Mori for this collab with Disney, and coached them for a while for this particular act. Lea is nitpicky when it comes to musicals, especially the pieces that she's personally taken a part in (like the movie Aladdin). She's that much of a mama hen. If you notice how Darren and Mori's rendition sound very similar to the original Aladdin song, that is most likely because Lea drilled it to them. She's someone who really wants to manifest a song as close as possible to how the composer wrote it. And the result is this power-duo performance.
