So, is there really no need to add any of the additives when using the Power Sand Advance?

That's correct powersand advance already contains all three of them. It's up to you if you feel like adding more to the mix. But your right there's really no need.

Very nice. What do you do to use the Fluval nano on a rimmed tank?

I haven't used the smaller fluval bio-stratum because it isn't available yet. I kind of made bio Stratum by adding these micro organisms to the substrate biome. The finer bio stratum is meant for nano tanks and also a cap on the regular stratum. Sorry if I don't understand the question, but really appreciate you taking the time to stop by.

@@Snoochie-Booch I’m sorry I didn’t realize what I typed made no sense at all! I was asking about the light. I thought that one would only work with a rimless tank. Did you have to modify it or will it work with that rim now?

@@GreggsPlantedTanks no worries, you're absolutely correct the nano 3.0 frame support gap is only wide enough for the rimless aquarium rim, so what I do is I hold a razor with a pair of pliers, heat the razor with a torch and melt away about an inch of the inner plastic portion of the rim that would support a lid. I only remove enough to clear the bracket and the outside black plastic stays intact. So the vertical rim never gets removed just slim up the inside by removing the horizontal lid support. I currently run 4 nano 3.0's on ten gallon aqueon tanks and did this to all of them with no issues. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for bringing that up I never mentioned it in the video and I should have. Hope your having a great day man. Catch you around.

Hey Ian, sweet I think you'll really like it. You can really hotrod the basic powersand by adding the three basically turns it into powersand advance. Those cups last for a really long time and several scapes. I think it's worth it. Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it. Can't wait to see what your scape.
