Turned my mind off when I got out of the service and found the world of Aquascaping. I've been keeping planted Aquariums for a while before realizing there's a whole community of fish keepers doing the same thing. So many amazing people as well as other veterans in the aquarium hobby.
Regular dude tinkering with aquascaping, high and low tech aquariums. Hoping my videos will help someone new thinking about a product that I use.
Shopping online for equipment and supplies can be hard sometimes. Unless you see it in hand it's hard to tell if things will work out with just the included dimensions. I'm always looking for the coolest, newest thing. I try to support veteran owned businesses, and those that acknowledge and support the military.
Come along as I document my hobby building and learning some cool stuff. Teach your kids how to maintain beautiful aquariums. Keep your hands wet and your mind right! Get Ready And Hold What You Got! AIRBORNE!

Thank you for the review ❤
@@asherwhittecur3479 Thanks, I really hope it helped. Take care
@@Snoochie-Booch it definitely did thank you
@@asherwhittecur3479that's the whole point of the channel. I really do appreciate you. Glad you stopped by.
Sorry bud. Too fast.
I understand, I tried to keep it short with numbers matching the list in the description. I also tried several others over the last year that'll definitely work in high temps. Hope you're doing well man.
Thank you for your video!
@@jessc2725 glad it helped, I also found that Hygrophila Corymbosa Compacta, Cryptocoryne Balansae, dwarf sag, and pygmy chain sword are doing awesome in my high temp discus tank. I forget if those are included in the list. Been a while since I posted this. Take care and thanks for coming by, taking the time.
Is there anyway to test the distilled water that is stored in plastic bottles for plastics that have been maybe leach by the distilled water?
@@moiczyk from my understanding micro plastics have to be filtered out with a density separator and weighed to determine the concentration. If you find out a better way or more information on this let me know. This total dissolved solid meter only test concentration of mineral components.
Hope to find a deal on some of those tanks someday
Beautiful
Love the letter opener

@@SkullAquatics thanks skull, always great to see you man. Hope you're having an awesome day!
Nice setup!! You hand feed them, do they bite you? Lol I'm afraid to hand feed, I use tweezers
Thanks StephenP, haven't been bit. You can feel them hit the krill tho. They seem to like it rather than chasing it. If a stranger tries they are hesitant. When I come into the room they are right there waiting for it like a dog. Definitely the coolest fish in the room. Hope yours are doing well. Always great to see you man.

How long has the buce been growing for??
At the time of this video I want to say about a year and a half. It flowered for me shortly after. Thanks for checking it out. Hope you're doing well.
Snooch....u ever see the swim ponds people put in there back yards? Idk why but this tank made me think of them.
@@543link hey brother, great to see you. I'll have to check them out. I always dreamt of having a pond. I put up a 100 gallon tub pond in my garage last summer and kept it 80 degrees all winter. Seen one video where a dude turned his indoor underground pool into a pond with monster fish. Wondering if it could work up here. Maybe make it super deep so it doesn't freeze solid. Or heat it somehow. Been on my mind for sometime. I'm sure I could figure it out. How sweet would it be to have your own Oasis
Love thise fish. Look great
Thanks man I really appreciate it. Been up a year now. Need to edit an update and go over what I learned. Took me years to get the confidence to build up and purchase these. By far my most invested tank not just financially but maintenance wise as well. Been a roller coaster man. Haven't wanted to 12 gauge it yet so it's going alright. Hope you and your family are kicking ass over there man. Thanks for checking it out. Stay cool man
Very cool Snoochie Booch 👍👍👍
@@SkullAquatics hey skull hope you and your family are doing well. Good to see you man.
good looking lil tank, the shrimp are blue? they look black.
@@GCaquatics Thanks man, they are. Have various shades of blue but I really like the pale ones they call Blondie. Most people cull these but they show the tiger stripes really well I think. @@Snoochie-Booch thank you continue to love this hobby as much as i do and do well in it like with this tank can you make 1 vid of a tank tour of all of your tanks?
@@R-ur6my sure that has been on my mind for some time. Maybe one day soon I will attempt the fish house tour. I run into capacity issues with the editing app as well as some glitches. Maybe if I didn't try to edit it'll work. After the Creek bed puffer tank, then an update on the discus I'll see if I can run them all through in short sections. I think my limit is 21 tanks and a 100 gal pond as of now so there is quite a bit to share. I'm so glad you came around and got me motivated. Hope you have an awesome weekend. 3 gallon or 30 gallon?
@@R-ur6my that's 3 gallons. The name of the tank is the 5 way betta tank by aquarium masters 18 inches long by 6in x 6in. @@rwcorleyze I did in the planted discus 75 gallon went up almost a year ago. I have a video on the build. Still running strong but recently I removed the universal rocks mist wood from the tank just because they would hide behind it. Seemed unnecessary after the plants took over. Hope you're having a great day! Appreciate your support and interest. Take care man!
thank you
Thank you man, take care.
That's surprising unless the particle count is a mineral count that's what I did my search on is the particles but more specific is commercial distilled water reenriched with minerals. The fact that there is no count in most brands tested i find strange . I'll have to do some more research. I do love your ppm tester it used to be done by using a couple drops of reagents. I might have to get me one of your instruments to make it a little easier. 👍🏼. If the count is pfas, then I'm guessing they aren't filtering and they are only using distillation.
Where was the 'In-depth'
Sorry you didn't find the answers you seek. What are you looking to get into? Maybe I can clear it up better.
Did you test for microplastics?
No these results were TDS and PH. Total dissolved solids
Is it not good for aquascape with plants and fish??
It's fine it'll just harden your water over time since it's constantly breaking down. Would work great for harder water fish or if you have soft water and have to add crushed Coral to harden it. This would be perfect.
Ive heard conflicting arguments that distilling does and doesnt remove chlorine and vocs. What do u think
I've never used a distiller before therefore I'm sorry I can't form an option. I'm making water for the aquarium hobby to reach certain parameters. Your best results and easiest way to come out zero TDS is with a R.O.D.I system. Hope your having a great night. Appreciate you coming by.
Can someone tell me why my distilled water keeps showing 12ppm? I’m making it at home. It’s on the 3rd cycle now so I can see but it’s so weird.
I'm sorry I've never used a distiller, only a RODI unit. Hopefully someone else can shed light on it for you. Hope your doing well. Appreciate you coming by.
I love it, great job!
Thank you so much, that's really cool of you man! Hope your doing well!
Very nice pair, bet them babies will look amazing.
Thanks for coming by. They do this allot and I've never had them actually make it to hatch before they end up eating them or another fish does. Each time gets longer and longer with them defending them. I could get serious and separate those two into another tank but haven't decided to take that step yet. Wonder what the cross would look like?
@@Snoochie-Booch I'm sure many people would love to see that if you ever decide to separate them.
Neat stuff, Snooch!!!!
@tjautocross Thanks Todd, hope your doing well man.
I bought a gallon of signature select refreshe "distilled" water and it smells like straight chlorine
Dang, no idea man. Maybe that one sat hot on a pallet somewhere? Wouldn't hurt to test it. There wasn't much difference in the brands but it was interesting to see i could get by with the cheapest price. It's actually been hard to find distilled here at the grocery. Thanks for stopping by and checking it out. Take care.
That bonsai tree is bad ass. tank looking good and i can see why its your wife's favorite.

I bought a folding, flipper from him at Wash. State Fair in 2022. I paid 360.00 for it and I found the same knife at Seattle Pike Market store , Seattle Cutlery for 40.00. Salish said he made knife. he is a LIAR and SCREWED me out of 320.00
I do not make anything off of the videos I put out. I just really like Richard and his work. He has thousands of regular customers and I personally had him make me specific things to the pattern and material. This just hasn't been my experience, so I'm sorry. Maybe if you reached out to him again he can clear this up. I appreciate you reaching out and hope your day gets better man. Thanks for taking the time. Stay safe.

th-cam.com/video/HYqoYPefkho/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared Thanks for keeping up on it man. Here is the update.. Hope your having a great day
Started drinkin destiled water. For know i buy destiled water from store, still better than normal water. But i have in plan to buy a destiler.
Reverse osmosis or RODI systems are on sale right now at bulk reef supply. I'm using RO water for the aquarium hobby but I'm curious. You'll have to let me know how your feeling after a while. I was told not to drink a bunch of it because it will deplete your body of nutrients. The RO water becomes the same mineral make up as your body and then you in turn pee it out. From what I understand it just keeps taking from you if you only consume distilled water. Let me know what you think after some time. Thanks for taking the time to check it out and share your thoughts. Hope your having a great day.
My water distiller at home results 0 ppm consistently of particulates😊, I’ve been using it for almost 8 years never had a problem and the water is magical :-)😊. The distilled water stored in those plastic containers may be leeching plastic particles.
Definitely makes sense
Would you be able to supply the name/brand/model etc of your water distiller? That would be super helpful. Thanks!
@@robertjaffe9670 if you haven't already seen them Bulk Reef Supply has awesome R.O.D.I units. I recommend the water saver model plus, comes with a TDS meter. I had to include a booster pump as well to get the optimum operating pressure. They go on sale occasionally I've seen it 30 percent off at one time. Thanks for coming by hope this helps. mitche5007 can explain his reverse osmosis system. Take care
@mitche5007 thanks for sharing. I'm not familiar with distillers. I appreciate you introducing them to me. The R.O. units are turning out 75 to 100 gallons a day. Is that possible with a distiller?
