    I like how Gurph went from looking like a ginger baby to having a full caveman beard with absolutely no transition in between

    "You are nothing special"
    Honestly that is a great mindset in my opinion. There is no special cue or exercise to "unlock" your "potential". You just need to train your ass off in a smart way. Follow the basic principles and put in the work. I recently got the chance to ask Ruslan Nurudinov for some jerk tips and he told me the biggest thing for him is just maintaining a solid rack position. Back tight, chest open. No special secret cues, just the basic stuff.

    Speaking of the soviet technical model, what do you think about making a video on it, preferably in depth also I would imagine it would be fairly long, possibly a series of videos on it?
    I think it’d be very helpful for a lot of people, not to mention that you can just refer people to it when you get asked about it.

Is the variance in physical development among in this age group too great for a general standard to be useful?

      IIRC Gabriel Sincraian has a good video which talks about three styles of snatches.
      But if you are looking for examples of the soviet model just look at europe, especially former soviet countries.

    • @sikastrength

      Thanks to @tiantoa2024 and @Sika Strength for replying. I'm still a bit confused since I'm quite new to weightlifting. I assumed that the "classic Soviet model" was a set of workouts and a periodization scheme? Is that true? If so, can I purchase it or download it? Right now I'm just throwing weights above my head and hoping for the best.

    • @sakaue
      @sakaue 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@timtaves8211 As I understand it, the soviet model is a type of form for the snatch and the clean and jerk. I don't believe that it's relevant to how someone would train.
