What is The Isle?
The Isle is the current top dog in terms of dinosaur survival games, its one of the biggest ones by far. With a whole host of dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts on its Legacy branch.
The game is going through a total rework with its Evirma Update, an update that will change the whole dynamic of the game.

Diabloceratops was announced 6-7 months ago and hasn't arrived yet. How many years do you think camara will come in 3 - 4?
They've been promising Rex for years and it's still not in the game. They haven't even fixed the graphical issues for the game yet. It still looks blury and unpolished af.
@@clovisursa497 I’ve never seen what you’re talking about the game looks great for me and the reason the Rex isn’t in the game is because there isn’t enough big dinosaurs to support its diet
@@clovisursa497 actually it's fixed. Only some piece of some models still have blurry texture. I'm playing on 4k with epic graphic and it's beautiful and very quality

@@clovisursa497 fr they havent been able to fix the bug issues that have been in the game that have been present and reported on for years. Its really annoying to see they clearly arent focusing on the game breaking problems and just keep adding more things taht bulk out the game without making the game work with even just the current dinos.
if they cant have a functioning ecosystem rn after this long, sounds like they need to rethink what their process is, and why they are making the game the way they are.
I would rather get no new dinosaurs for years if it meant they actually improved the playing experience and made it less of a chore and waste of time. I find no enjoyment from the game anymore, lots of other people feel the same, thats why its so quiet now after gateway, we are damn tired and have moved on.
I never thought we would hear from Megalania, atleast not in the next 5 years...
I adore camarasaurus, and im so glad that isles is looking good, its better than the modded one in path

PoT Camara is also being modded by another group. That one will be more Paleo accurate

@@AnAntarcticScotsman no shiet, the hilarious point they are making is that the isle team has the same or more artists depending if you include Seiza. Tapwing, Fred Weirum, Jake Baardse for dossiers and concepts. Back end programmers, Felipe, Adam and sometimes dmIV(yes they have multiple modelers and animators but they are far ahead of the back end programmers when it comes to content) It's just odd how Dondi doesnt have literally dozens of back end devs working on a game this popular. I'v heard the "It's hard to find people who fit our team properly" but idk, its sorta on them for not having a robust programming team at this point its been years since they switched to EV.

how do you spawn the dinos in singleplayer when you are testing something in path of titans?
I feel like they don't think about the gameplay when choosing upcoming dinos.
i mean like literally this evrima shit is in devalopment about 5 years and even gta 6 is releasing earlier than this shit. I really wonder if anybody still waiting for this

It's sexual dimorphism for the 3 camera's 2 adults male and female and the younger state suggesting that the juve and sub will look the same regardless of gender.

I wish the isle didn’t suck as hard as it does. It is biblically boring to play yet looks so good and has such good ideas. Hiding for 45 minutes to get fully grown just isn’t fun at all.
Literally refusing to play the game on spawn is your fault you don’t have to say in one spot just don’t be an idiot you can outmaneuver most adults except for the raptor as a baby anything (except stego) and it’s not that hard to get away and hide for a bit
@@0wonder I spent about 6 hours straight playing the game it has some good bits but the bad parts just over shadow it. Playing a game with such beautiful scenery in black and white 75% of the time is a stupid design flaw. The furthest I got was a cera to 60% odd by getting a perfect diet then hiding by a cliff and going afk then coming back to get jumped by 2 teno’s. Got a raptor to about 50% and killed by a tiny stego because the pounce doesn’t work properly and somehow 2 odd hits from a tiny stego killed me. Once you’re dead you’ve wasted your time growing its just not a fun experience some great design and some great idea with terrible execution. And the deinos….. just get rid of them the game would be 10X better without dying every time you need to drink.
Sorry for my passive aggression here but my unholy goodness, are you serious about this one? Hiding for 45 minutes is boring for you? How about not doing that then? How about actually playing the game? Like wtf is this suppose to mean? xD
@@Bleghspread the alternative is to not hide while you grow and picked off at the first opportunity by absolutely anything. Like I said in my previous comment. The furthest I got was 60% odd by getting the perfect diet and then going afk coming back to get instantly killed. When the best way to grow is to hide somewhere then that is a bad design choice. When your game that has some of the best looking models around but you spend 75% of the game in black and white because of abysmal lighting that’s a bad design choice. When 90% of the map is empty so you’re forced to go to the busy spots as a fresh spawn that’s a bad design choice. Combat is laggy as fuck, the game stutters a lot and getting 1 shot by a croc after spending 30 minutes growing and having to start again is once again a bad design choice. 6 hours was plenty of time to experience it and if after that much time it’s not enjoyable then it isn’t a fun game.
@@craigpaterson4358 I experienced similar things in this game, even more horrible. Sometimes straightaway unsettling and disturbing seeing how far can some players go in order to just kill you. Getting yoinked is part of the game experience. If you do not like it that way then the game is simply not for you, or maybe servers you played on were not designed in more player friendly way. Black and white part of the game was not a design choice but simply unbalanced/buggy weather settings. Already changed for better. Once you know the map and where to find food, you are good to go on a travel. There are safe routes on the gateway map and even more safe places to drink. If anything, this map is literally gator free for most of the time. Deino players can have word with you how solitary and cannibalistic their gameplay always is. And many ppl will argue with you about the topic if the game is fun or not. I have experienced some lags and rubberbanding too but never to an extent where game was unplayable. Sometimes it is a server problem, sometimes it is client sided. Fatal errors are the most unpleasant things to deal and they are quite common still, that is the number 1 issue I personally have with the game. Apart from that.. If you do not know the map well yet then it is a skill issue, not bad design choice. If you choose sources of water to drink unwisely and then you get killed by croc, it is skill issue and not bad design choice. If you cant manage to get anything past 60% without sitting in a bush then again, it is a skill issue, not bad design choice. If you get literally killed by another player, how can you frame that as a bad design choice? Game is not fun for you and that is completely valid. There are players that prefer this game and they are not coping or anything, they simply like it.

Can't wait to see them poorly implement them both in a decade. They still haven't made the game even look good with how blurry and shit the graphics are in Evirma. But sure give us more dinos.
@Littleorange1 stop. No it doesn’t. Evirma looks like a fucked up VHS tape. The Dino designs are overall better and more realistic looking. But the overall grainy shitty filmy look to it is horrible. Even compared to Legacy. PoT is colorful and bright and much easier on the eyes.
Someone who literally says that evrima looks crappy and visually inferior which should be the main focus for devs to fix and not implement new playables to roster exists? We have gone full circle at this point. :D

@@clovisursa497dude i play the isle on a shitty computer and have the graphics set to as low as possible so my pc doesnt explode in my face the game still looks fine and definitely not a messed up vhs tape idk what pc you play on though also might wanna check if you have motion blur or the other settings that distort the screen

6:15 honestly the megalania model looks too much like a Komodo dragon, and the hunched back looks weird. Now the Path of Titans model that actually looks paleo accurate and looks good. I’m not saying The Isle’s megalania is a bad design I just am stating my opinion on the model. The camarasaurus looks similar to the jwe2 camarasaurus which the jwe2 look like its very dry and looks like it needs a remodel, anyhow I quite like The Isle’s camarasaurus design I think jwe2 might make a similar design maybe in jwe3 idk

@@haydennotenboom9103 the isle is almost 10 years old and is still a buggy mess with little to no progress. the isle legacy on the other hand was great, but it's obsolete now.
This game is so freacking slow... It is hurtfull to go check in few months and see there are NO REAL PROGRESS to the game.. no new dino in months, and after all this waiting, we will get only one! daamn, worst progression ever.
Relax dude yeah ik everything is pretty shit rn but getting mad will do nothing if you want you can go complain to the devs (although i doubt they'll listen) and they are releasing dinos when they are ready these days so expect one dino updates to be more frequent

Serioulsy at this Point just Play path of Titans Even if its not fully Perfect. The Isle isnt getting finished before 2050 with there slow pacing. People tend to forget that this Game is out since literally 4 years. What do we get in that time ? A Game Full of Performance Problems, the worst map i have seen, and a absolut tiny dino roster and much more but im to lazy to list it all…
And after 4 years people still getting baited by concept Arts, shown animations and TH-cam Trailer. this is just Crazy to me..

The games update rate is due to the amount of foundational shit they need to add before firing out the rest of the roster.
Said shit are all of the games main mechanics with the exception of elders, mutations, sparring and burrowing, all of which are being worked on.
The Beasts of Bermuda fanbase is somehow even worse than The Isle. They swear by that game despite it looking like literal shit, having a dumb as hell grow system, and extremely slow dev cycle. Remember they teased a snake years ago? They just recently few months ago showed it's concept modeling crawling up a tree. What have they done in the past couple years? They added the megaraptor then just added skins for like three years lmao.

@@AnAntarcticScotsman with the amount of money it's made you'd think they would change that. Game is still ass. 20 people made Kingdom Come Deliverance and it's an amazing game. Hell there are indie games that ONE person made it and it was still good. I feel zero sympathy for them.
@@AnAntarcticScotsman also if you need more examples of devs being actually reliable and good devs. Project Zomboid was originally worked on by one guy. Then two of his friends started helping him. They then hired 16 people to help make the game once it started getting big. If they still have two people working on BoB after all these years, thats on them.
