Gizmo is the one character I absolutely feel different about 2nd time around😢. First time he was just Damon’s daft mate now I see a deeply sad young lad from a violent family background who really needed Damon’s friendship and support. It amazing how all these years have changed my outlook on poor Gizmo😮
Ok, let's get this straight - Yes they are real houses, but the TV production company bought the whole estate and while the show was operational, the houses were adapted to accommodate TV cameras, etc, also some of the houses were used as a production office, canteen, dressing rooms etc. The houses on the estate have now been sold off as residential properties, so if the TV company wished to film there again they would need permission from whoever lives there now. What usually happens is the production company offers the residents a contract, say like £500 a week in exchange for which whoever lives there has to agree to stay out of the way during filming. If they refuse, then the TV company can't film there, simple as that.
As a Manc i loved Brookside, absolute great programme that had it all. can't forget the legend Barry Grant, terry and Jimmy. my favourite female actor was the gorgeous Nikki and her gorgeous voice, wow what a babe she was. great memories, great programme and great theme tune for sure.
Their choice to buy a house on Brookside Close at the end of the day i mean it was such a famous soap there is bound to be tourists coming and going and if the residents are peed off then maybe they shouldn’t have bought a house there. Imagine tho whoever lives in the most famous house on the close Number 10 watching their very own house on tv and everything that went on in that house
@@Renwick19when I visited brookside close in 2018 a woman came out of one of the houses and was quite pleased to talk to us about the famous close 🏴
The houses were purpose built for the show, and only when the show ended did the fronts get fully built inside to be real houses and have since been rented out. These houses were designed especially for production as a set. People who live here have moved here since, the houses weren’t used during the time of the programme.
Yes,real people live on The Close but they're used to fans coming to take videos and photos and some of the residents even come out to have a friendly chat with the fans.
Why? The people of Brookside Close moved there especially because the houses originally belonged to the production company / Channel 4. It was a set that was especially built. Get your facts straight

Most soaps fictitious streets, towns etc. Love that Brookie Is a real place and still there. Bet residents peed off though.
