The Jamaica national football team coach has spoken why they added Leon Bailey to the team for the Copa America tournament. - กีฬา
Leon Bailey is playing in the Premier league. That's it. He's a talented player but he is not bigger than the game of football nor is he bigger than Jamaica. Let's leave him alone and give the younger and hungrier kids an opportunity. Leon needs to be humble and realize that the game will still be played after he retires. Let people remember you in a positive manner and not negative.
All I have to say is he not get the opportunity to play for Jamaica again u not bigger or better than the country. U don't do that as a footballer. Totally disrespect. Don't agree with him.

Though he isn't innocent in this whole matter, Jamaicans need to also acknowledge that the treatment, interest and investment in those who go off to represent the country is below what they deserve. Greatest instance is with our Reggae Girlz. But yet again, so many Jamaicans are use to being given scraps that they get upset when someone steps out and speaks. Either it's poor judgement of a situation or just slave mentality.

Apart from Usain Bolt being a Global athlete , Jamaican athletes are not world beaters as much as you might think or want to believe! There's far and few globally acknowledged right now! In Leon Bailey's case he's one that has somewhat of a name in football but yet he's a diva! No one likes a diva athlete, no matter where you from! Stop crying about treatment of athletes and their presumptuous entitlement they figure they deserve. Do you know everywhere in the world it's taxpayers that cover these athletes cost ? Leon Bailey is too big for his britches. I can tell you he will never get a real Madrid call up as he perceives. In three years his career will be on the downside either way.

Jamaica did not qualify because of Walter Boyd. They qualified because of the inclusion of the English players and the meltdown of Costa Rica (after winning their preliminary group and lbeing second to Mexico in the standings after the first set of matches in the final round, all the stars like Claudio Waunchope refused to play because of federation disputes - sort of like the Reggae Girls situation today)
@@dudleypbarrettfootball is a team game. The UK players came at the latter stage of qualification. Remember Jamaica qualified from a round before the UK players came in.

I think he meant there's similarities between Walter Boyd's and Leon Bailey's situations! Jamaican football survived before and after Walter Boyd so I don't see Leon Bailey holding them back!
