He didn't start to play for Jamaica 8 years ago. He started 5 years ago. This is the first year he might have been on international duty for consecutive summers. The English Premier league ended on the 19th of May and the Championship and League One even earlier. Jamaica will assemble for Copa on the 16th of June. Some players would have had close to a month of rest. It is within Bailey's prerogative to feel tire or take a break. But we don't believe he is not turning down Jamaica out of spite and his agents attempt to blackmail and damage Jamaica. Let him go and stop dealing with Butler and Phoenix. They have shown their agenda since KASAFA suspended them. They vow revenge. Believe them.

I can see clearly that Lance is not buying anything that Craig Butler is saying. The "Leon needs a break" statement is not making one ounce of sense. For it to make sense then Craig would have to also assert that there should be no Copa America being played - because I would imagine that all other players in the tournament need a break too. Yet. they are playing for their countries. He has not been playing for Jamaica for eight years - he started in 2019. Anyway, he can take a permanent break.

Both the JFF and Coach Grimmy Got The Idea That Bailey Would Be Available. Coach Stated Specifically that he would not be available for the first game but would be there for the other games. I find it very strange that the coach would have been so specific without any agreement between the two parties. Butler Is not being entirely truthful. The fact that Butlers Defense to this was that nothing was in writing suggest that he is not being truthful about what was communicated verbally. The JFF should have learnt by now that there is No Agreement unless in writing and signed all involved. Also If This Was Just About Taking a Break as Butler Suggested He Should Be Able To say When He Will Be Returning. I would love to see this team make it to the world cup WITHOUT LEON BAILEY. Yes Leon & Craig Butler have a right to voice their dissatisfaction with some conditions however they are going about it in the wrong way. All they need to do is bring the issues to the public and put the pressure from media and public on the JFF. Bailey specifically said that he was the one people were coming to see play on the team and he needs protection from the fans. Now this fellow is saying that he is advocating for the entire team. Yet, the other players are not complaining. It would appear that Mr Butler is trying too hard to tell the JFF how to do their job.
