- We had the perfect weather window so we took a last minute trip in our Sling TSI from Colorado to the Bahamas to do some Island hopping. We experienced a perfect weather and flight heading East, weathered a storm while in Chub Cay and had to maneuver a storm system moving across the country on our way back, but we had the time of our lives viewing the beauty of the Bahamas from the air and couldn't wait to share it. This is Part 4 Eleuthera to Farmers Cay. We hope you enjoy it!

Loving seeing the places we’ve been by boat! Perhaps the coolest thing about little farmers cay is that it’s a former slave settled island. Chrisanna Nixon and her sons bought the island from the English Crown when slavery was abolished in the 1830’s and willed it to their descendants as generational property. This means that only descendants from this family can settle on the cay. It’s one of the true “family islands” in the Bahamas.
