  • Working through getting the wings put on the airplane. I appreciate the follow, like/subscribe, share - whatever the cool kids say for metrics here on TH-cam. This channel is for my documentation of the build. If you have questions or comments please feel free to do so below. For the blog site where we are providing a written documentation on our journey, please visit firstrivet.net and feel free to share it with others to participate in the journey.
We started this build in July of 2021 with the hopes of completing it in about 2 years time. This is my/our first time building an airplane and we’re pretty excited to be doing so.

Thanks for showing mounting of the control surfaces. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else showing it.

I have watched all of your build videos so far. Fascinating! I watched MojoGrip's build as well. I understand about having to do things over during a build. I haven't built an airplane, but I'm glad you talk about having to redo things and are honest about it. I know there is a ton of work getting the videos out but can't wait for more. 🙂

Any specific reason you chose to keep the weight on the elevator?

I guess my mind set is that they were originally designed to be there. The first time I saw them off was based off of the UK inspection where they didn't allow it. I thought it was odd that an entity that didn't design the airplane made change requirements outside of the design spec. Obviously since then there have been more publications on having them off, but I figured I'd start there and I can always take them off if need be.
