I have learned more from you than my own doctor. I have never heard about prolapse until it happened to me.

Same and when it happened it was diagnosed, actually misdiagnosed in a very casual, this is normal, type of way.

This video has given me the confidence to wear my pessary again. I stopped using it because I thought it made me weak that I had to use it....I am not my prolapse; I am a person; I am important and I deserve to move my body & be happy. Keep these videos coming 💜🙏🏻

All I have to say is WOW . Thank you Antony Lo! You are the FIRST PERSON to bring up the fact that it’s so hard to navigate through the postpartum period , ESPECIALLY the labor intensive aspect . Carrying baby , pram, car seat, groceries. I WEAR MY BABY because she screams in her car seat . My PT actually told me while I wear her not to pick anything up if I drop it on the floor . Ask a stranger to pick up for me ! She is great but really doesn’t seem to understand the physical demands of taking care of an infant , nursing all day long etc. I am married now but , as Antony mentioned , home alone all day and I’ve been a single mother as well with my first born son. You do EVERYTHING without assistance and this has been my biggest complaint with a 4 month old daughter and a Cystocele. Almost every professional I have dealt with just doesn’t seem to “get it “ . You can’t ‘baby’ a prolapse and ‘ Baby your baby ‘. It simply doesn’t work . I was dismissive of what men had to offer regarding these issues and watching Antony has been a breath of fresh air and changed my mind. As has this channel Dr. Bri ! Thankful for it . Without technology and social platforms we would feel so alone in this . Thank you again .

Also Dr. Bri I am a new sub. And you have truly been a blessing . Simply posting a video on the emotional difficulty in relation to POP is so helpful and thoughtful. Just what I was looking for :)

I am SO GLAD you found it to be helpful. Antony is great, isn't he? I wasn't sure how women would feel about a man addressing this condition, but he really knows his stuff and has great insight from years and years of studying pelvic health and working with clients. Glad you've found FemFusion Fitness and I hope you'll find some relief by being part of this positive community!

Your story completely resonates with me. Prolapse occurred 7 months postpartum, I had been baby wearing that whole time, otherwise my daughter would scream non stop. Was never warned of spoken to about prolapse. At the hospital I even asked if I should avoid certain things, such as stairs, nothing was off limits. Being a first time mom and a go go go person, I just went back to life as before probably day 2 postpartum. My prolapse resolved itself during my second pregnancy, albeit for a time, but then it came back. No physiotherapist would see me while I was pregnant finally found one postpartum the second time. The initial diagnosis of a prolapsed bladder turned out to be incorrect, it is rectal. And as you say it is nearly impossible to baby your prolapse and your actual children. During my second pregnancy I was actually advised to let my daughter climb up and sit herself at the table, well she was under 18 months, she can't climb up that high and seat herself. I mean come on?! Also, as you point out, car seats, loading kids, strollers, etc. No wonder we end up with injuries.

Thank you for sharing this. I must admit, I still miss my life before POP. There are days when I manage to feel fine and optimistic, but there are days when I just feel helpless and useless.

Hi Dr. Bri, your videos have helped me so much. Especially with being afraid of prolapse. Could you give me some advise on how to locate a good therapist? I have tried a couple so far that just didn't work out. I live in Colorado. Thank's so much, keep the videos coming.

Hi Laila! Give this a try -- pt.womenshealthapta.org/
It's a PT locator from the APTA's section on women's health (the body through which I was trained). I hope you can find someone! Lots of love...
