2年前のコメントへのリプで恐縮ですが・・ この動画を見た後、他の動画で偶然マレットを返す瞬間が写ったのを見つけました。 GBA1998の公式の動画です。 ”KYOTO TACHIBANA HIGH SCHOOL GREEN BAND -PASADENA BANDFEST - ROSE PARADE 2018 GROUP"というタイトルの動画の ２０：０８ 辺り。 もっとも、この動画がなければ、上記GBAの動画で赤い服を着た人が何をしてたのかはわかりませんでしたが。

Great to be so close to the band. Pity about being out of focus. Could still see Tippy's Wonderful smile I hope she is doing well since leaving the band and all the others. This was the best Band in the World then and still are. ❤👍👍👍👍⚘
@@pan9497 That's awesome! Haven't seen this year's Rose Parade partly because KT isn't the Japanese representative (though I did hear that some KT alum were part of the band) but knowing that Tippi is there is exciting. Do you happen to know what instrument she played?

Although this video is very blurry, (first of all I wouldn't upload such a blurry video), I can admire how Tippi kept on playing with just one xylophone mallet. You can see @1:49 that she is only using her right hand to play the xylophone because she dropped the mallet in her left hand. But if you notice @4:42 one of the guys in the red shirt retrieved the mallet she dropped and returned it to her. I do not think that nakosoeki was the Mexican sounding person with the camera, I suspect that he found it somewhere else and put it here to enjoy :) So lets all give thanks rather than complain about the resolution !
It's very disappointing to see the world's greatest band travel 5700 miles to perform in the greatest country in the world and shot in 360p instead of 4K. They deserve the best! This band is poetry in motion. I almost hate to say it's better than nothing thanks for posting and allowing for these comments.

Because if you have been catching up of all the Japanese Marching band that joined the Pasadena Bandfest and Rose Parade for the past 12 years as part of the Green Band Association you can notice the Male Drum Major in the Rose Parade walking behind the Banner that is Mr.Yokoyama.He has been joining and Coaching all of the Japanese Marching band that are going to US for the US tour Program of the Green Band Association and because most of the Japanese Marching band that has been Sent by the GBA are Honor Green Bands i think its also a tradition that Honor Bands are supposed to have a Michael Jackson Song in their Playlist for the Parade and Events.Thriller has been the Most Played song for example the Kansai Honor Green Band in 2010 They played Thriller as their Parade Theme Song,All Izumo in 2013 Who played Thriller in the Rose Parade and The Japan Honor Green Band in 2020 who played Thriller as one of their Theme Song for the US Tour Program and last is the North Japan Honor Green Band last 2011 who not only played a Michael Jackson song But also Adopted the Style of Michael Jackson i think single High Schools who will be assigned for the US Tour Program like Kyoto Tachibana(2012,2018),(Nagoya Minami High school(2014),Toho High School(2016) and Gifu Shogyo High School(2017) only got a choice if they want to play a Michael Jackson song as part of their Parade Playlist

恥ずかしながら今泣いています。こんな動画にめぐり逢えるなんて。木琴ちゃんをアップで長く撮って戴きありがとうございます。マレットを落としたまでは知っていましたが、その後が見られて幸せです。木琴ちゃんプロでも頑張ってください。
この´18年のローズパレードは叔母と共に見ていました。明るく元気一杯で楽しく演奏する姿にとても驚かされました｡そもそもローズパレード自体私は知らなかったのですから､ですがアメリカンサイズのスケールの大きさに驚かされましたが､規模の大きな『村祭り』みたいで楽しめました。そんな中､日本的な『村祭りの祭り囃子』みたいな演奏を繰り広げる橘高校の演奏スタイルはとても新鮮で目立っていました。半ばダレていたアメリカの人達も元気な彼女達の演奏に見いり､楽しそうに手拍子したり歓声を挙げていました。彼女達が通り過ぎた後見ていた人達が『あの娘達可愛いかったね？』と語っていたのが強く印象に残っています｡
マレットが戻ってくる瞬間をとらえた映像はこれだけかも。貴重な映像をありがとうございます。
