So this is the JBL Clip 5, now JBL has been very busy giving their speakers a lot of upgrades… but I think the Clip 5 has gotten the biggest upgrades out of all of JBL’s speakers. So if you’re looking for a Small portable Bluetooth speaker, maybe something that you just want to clip onto your back… Lets see what the JBL Clip 5 is all about, and spoiler warning, this thing sounds very impressive for its size.

I had several JBLs earlier, starting with Charge 2+ (boy, I loved that one).
I lost my Flip 6 and then my Charge 5's charging port broke (they were damn good together in Partyboost mode), so went looking for a replacement. The Clip 5 sounds great. Not as good as the Flip 6 (no separate tweeter, so the sound is somewhat darker), but still very nice.
I like how they finally have dual pairing. The downside is the battery drain is pretty fast if you are nearly or full volume with dual pairing. It is most definitely louder than the Clip 4. I could probably extended it a bit by messing with the bass.
The sound difference is amazing with the clip 5 compared to the other clip speakers
The only feature it’s missing is the speakerphone functionality which was awesome on the Clip 3
I push shopping carts at Walmart.I have two of these paired up and hanging on my backpack. Let's just say i'm a bit of a Is spectacle out in the parking lot

80 bucks is a little high for its size especially if you get another for stereo
Go4 35, clip5 45 in my country
It's powerful believe me. The point is for it to give you loud enough bass and still be small to carry around where you need it.
@@Monster33336 I just got mine yesterday, the videos dont do it justice. The bass is so clear and this thing gets stupidly loud. Definitely worth the price IMO
bought 1 today they are now 59.99 in Europe so must be max 65 bucks in US if not cheaper

Definitely a step up from the clip 4. The clip 5 is louder I only need to tune it to about 65% which is about the same volume you get from the 4 at 100%.

Thank you for the video! I wanted to ask you a question: if it has Auracast, that means you can connect it with another speaker supporting Auracast and not necessarily from JBL, right? Apparently Android 16 will bring an interface to connect devices through LE Bluetooth and Auracast, which I'm really excited about.

No. It turns off automatically when it hears the sound of the shower turning on.

Can you move back a track with the buttons on the speaker? I remember with the clip 4, you could move forward a track, but not back, which IMO is a dealbreaker. I listen to books on my phone, and don't always have my phone nearby, and sometimes I have to rewind, but I couldn't do it on the clip 4.
I just got mine, and I’m trying to fully charge it. The red light comes on when it’s plugged and turns off after some time. Is this normal?

i just got a clip 5. ive had them all but the clip 3 is the true goat.... even on this video.... it has a balanced sound, its not 2 trebly or bassy but just right.... its also very durable.
clip 4 is a disgrace. the rubber detailing falls right off and ive even had the clip itself break. the buttons protrude so you press them by accident with the slightest brush. problem is some jbl clip 3's on amazon are fake so be careful.

Just bought JBL Clip5. I like going on adventure walks. Carrying backpacks with me and can be used in my Painting Trade for back up speaker or even main. Thanks for the great video. I like how you had all 3 speakers plsyg at different times to see the quality difference. Clip5 sounds the best. I hope they sort out pairing to all there speakers with updates otherwise that is wrong on there end money greed if they choose not to do. I think I buy another clip5 after I test out properly to have both paired is cool 😎

The fact that many people have a flip 6 but they can’t connect with it is dumb.

Try making a video for the Go 4. You never uploaded anything regarding the JBL Go line... Plus now the Go has Auracast the first time a Go speaker has a pairing protocol.

Hey @GYMCADDY, isn't Auracast and Bluetooth LE a new standard from Bluetooth 5.2 onwards. Would it be possible to connect speakers from different beands using Auracast? I think it is not just a JBL technology. It would be cool if it is possible. Maybe in the future, as new speakers come out, you can test this. For example, the new Marshall emberton 3 and willen 2.

what do the buttons do
I've never owned a JBL product, so excuse me if this is a dumb question... If you connect 2 of them together, do they have to be in stereo mode? Or can you connect in a party mode where both speakers emit the same audio?
It will be turning into stereo mode since JBL app itself mentioned as “Connect 2 speakers to stream stereo channel”. But I can’t test that I don’t have one more JBL clip 5 or others. 😅
u can if u have the mono audio setting on ur phone
Just to follow up... You can have 2 connected as a mono pair by default without the app and set up as a stereo pair through the app.
