Im not an american. But Let me tell you this: When Trump was POTUS, the world did nervously laugh. We were partly laughing at how absurd he was even then. But also deeply worried that America could actually vote THAT guy into the most powerful seat in the world.
USA lost SO much credibility that day. And its only now coming back slowly. Since then. Europe have taken steps to be less depending on USA on many things. Because having had Trump as President showed that we cant count on USA to be that rational anymore. You are still allies and friends. Absolutely. But it did show that we need to step up on alot of things over here as well.
